The Patrician’s Watch is a chronicle of global and cosmic observation. Its purpose is the ongoing education and sharing of information about the world we inhabit and the greater cosmos of which we are a part.
We analyze our reality to better understand all that surrounds us and how we interact with it. Life presents never-ending questions; to assume we have all the answers is folly. All questions are valid.
Answers based solely on belief systems are precisely that—beliefs—and nothing more. Answers derived from the scientific method carry greater standing, with the proviso that our understanding is only as robust as the tools available to us at any given time. Critical thinking and the deconstruction of so-called established data or “facts” are essential for intellectual survival.
Civilizations come and go. Our collective journey might have just begun, or we may be witnessing its culmination. Each day is another opportunity to ask better questions and to seek answers that dismantle the barriers between human beings, reducing the borders of ignorance and malice erected over the ages.
Take nothing for granted. Act in good faith. Exercise discretion before adopting any thought as your own. While none of us is responsible for what another person thinks, we are accountable for what we choose to share. Let it be truth.
We are all responsible for our actions, for they impact everyone.
