Abstract
This paper examines the scientific evidence for dietary and nutritional approaches to male fertility control, challenging the prevailing pharmaceutical model that places the burden of contraception almost exclusively on women. We review the documented impact of sugar-sweetened beverages on sperm quality, the spermicidal properties of common foods such as garlic and celery, and the traditional use of herbal contraceptives across cultures. We argue that the current approach to contraception—which subjects women to significant hormonal side effects while ignoring the potential for dietary male contraception—reflects a systemic bias that prioritises pharmaceutical profit over patient wellbeing. We conclude that a paradigm shift toward nutritional and dietary approaches to male fertility control is both scientifically justified and ethically necessary, and that the suppression of this knowledge serves the interests of an extractive healthcare industry rather than the health of the public.
1. Introduction: The Unbalanced Burden
The current model of contraception places an extraordinary and disproportionate burden on women. Hormonal contraceptives—the pill, the implant, the injection—are associated with a range of significant side effects including weight gain, mood disorders, increased risk of venous thromboembolism, and decreased libido. Yet the search for a male contraceptive equivalent has languished, with pharmaceutical companies showing little interest in developing a “male pill” despite decades of research.
This is not an accident of science. It is a failure of will.
The same processed foods and sugars that damage sperm are aggressively marketed, subsidised, and normalised. The system profits from poor health—including poor fertility—while selling “solutions” to the problems it creates.
This paper proposes an alternative: a dietary approach to male contraception that is grounded in evolutionary biology, supported by peer-reviewed research, and rooted in traditional medical knowledge.
2. Sugar and Sperm: The Evidence
2.1 Sugar-Sweetened Beverages and Sperm Quality
A comprehensive narrative review published in Nutrients (2025) examined the impact of sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) on male reproductive health. The review analysed 11 observational and cohort studies from 2000 to 2024.
Key findings:
· Men who consume more than seven SSBs per week (approximately 245–262.5 grams of sugar) have a 22% lower sperm concentration than non-consumers
· This subgroup also showed a 6% reduction in semen volume
· Daily SSB consumption is associated with a 23% increased risk of poor sperm motility
· Sugar-rich diets and high-glycaemic-index foods negatively affect semen quality by impairing sperm motility and maturation
2.2 Mechanisms of Damage
The mechanisms by which sugar damages sperm are well-documented:
Oxidative Stress: SSB consumption leads to increased production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which cause oxidative stress and directly damage sperm DNA. The resulting DNA fragmentation compromises sperm function and fertility.
Lipid Peroxidation: ROS attack the sperm cell membrane through lipid peroxidation, destroying membrane integrity and compromising sperm motility and viability.
Hormonal Disruption: High sugar intake disrupts the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis, lowering Inhibin-B levels—a hormone tightly linked to sperm production—and altering the Inhibin-B/FSH ratio.
Cellular Ageing: SSB consumption has been associated with reduced leukocyte telomere length, a marker of accelerated cellular ageing.
2.3 The RNA Connection
A 2025 study published in PubMed revealed that a high-sugar diet acutely alters human sperm small RNA profiles within just one week, and that these changes are associated with changes in sperm motility. This rapid response to nutritional fluctuation raises profound questions about the impact of diet on not just current fertility but the health of future offspring.
2.4 The Evolutionary Perspective
Sperm contain fructose for energy—but excessive dietary sugar disrupts the very hormonal balance needed for healthy sperm production. Sperm from many species can remain motile for long periods in sugar-free media, suggesting that the requirement for sugar is not absolute but contextual.
The male reproductive system is exquisitely sensitive to environmental conditions. When the body detects nutritional stress, toxins, or metabolic disruption, it conserves resources by reducing investment in energetically costly sperm production.
This is not a bug. It is a feature of evolutionary biology. The body is saying: “Now is not a good time to reproduce.”
3. Foods with Documented Spermicidal or Fertility-Reducing Effects
3.1 Celery (Apium graveolens)
A ten-year study conducted by Dr Pachara Visutakul at Siriraj Hospital in Thailand found that daily consumption of 75 grams of celery (raw or cooked) for 1–2 weeks reduced sperm count from approximately 100 million/mL to 30 million/mL—a level considered insufficient for conception. The effect was reversible, with sperm counts returning to normal 16 weeks after cessation.
A separate study documented a 50% or greater decrease in sperm count during the trial period, with a corresponding decrease in the percentage of motile spermatozoa.
3.2 Garlic (Allium sativum)
Garlic has demonstrated significant spermicidal properties in multiple studies:
· The crude aqueous extract of garlic bulb showed instant immobilisation of human ejaculated sperm at 0.5 g/mL
· More than 50% reduction in sperm viability occurred in treated sperm, indicating plasma membrane disintegration
· The active principle Allitridum immobilised sperm at 7.5 mg/mL in a dose-dependent manner
· Chronic garlic consumption has been shown to reduce testosterone secretion and alter spermatogenesis
3.3 Traditional Chinese Herbal Contraceptives
Traditional Chinese medicine has documented multiple plant-based contraceptives:
· Rapeseed (油菜籽)
· Eggplant flower (紫茄花)
· Persimmon calyx (柿子蒂)
· Cottonseed (棉花籽)—from which the active compound gossypol has been isolated and studied as a male contraceptive
· Sophora flavescens (苦参)—causes instant sperm incapacitation at 15% concentration
· Cnidium monnieri—demonstrated significant spermicidal activity on human spermatozoa
3.4 Other Traditional Contraceptives
· Lemon juice has been used traditionally as a contraceptive in the Mediterranean region
· Carica papaya seed extract arrests human sperm in a dose-dependent manner
· Wild pea and wild banana seed extracts have documented contraceptive effects in ethnopharmacological studies
4. The Evolutionary Logic of Dietary Fertility Control
Sperm production is energetically expensive. The body allocates resources according to perceived environmental conditions:
· When conditions are favourable, resources are invested in reproduction
· When conditions are unfavourable—nutritional stress, toxin exposure, metabolic disruption—resources are conserved
This is why diet matters. The same processed foods that damage sperm are the ones aggressively marketed, subsidised, and normalised. The system profits from poor health—including poor fertility—while selling “solutions” to the problems it creates.
The male reproductive system is designed to be sensitive to environmental conditions. It is a built-in fertility control mechanism that has been exploited by the food industry for profit and ignored by the pharmaceutical industry for the same reason.
5. The Failure of the Pharmaceutical Model
5.1 The Burden on Women
Hormonal contraceptives for women are associated with significant side effects:
· Weight gain
· Mood disorders and depression
· Decreased libido
· Increased risk of venous thromboembolism
· Increased risk of certain cancers
Despite decades of research, no equivalent male contraceptive has been brought to market. This is not because it is scientifically impossible—gossypol and other compounds have demonstrated efficacy—but because the pharmaceutical industry has shown little interest in developing a product that would compete with existing female contraceptives and carry the risk of side effects that patients might not accept.
5.2 The “Bandaid” Approach
Current reproductive healthcare is reactive rather than proactive. It treats symptoms rather than causes. It medicates rather than educates.
This is the “bandaid” approach. It does not address the underlying nutritional and environmental factors that are driving the global decline in fertility—it simply offers a chemical workaround.
5.3 The Industry of Extraction
The pharmaceutical industry profits from:
· Hormonal contraceptives
· Fertility treatments
· Side-effect management
The system is designed to extract value at every stage. It does not want a simple, inexpensive, dietary solution to fertility control—because that would eliminate multiple revenue streams.
6. The Deeper Truth
The same processed foods and sugars that damage sperm are the ones aggressively marketed, subsidised, and normalised. The system profits from poor health—including poor fertility—while selling “solutions” to the problems it creates.
A dietary approach to male contraception is ahead of its time. It won’t replace clinical methods in the short term, but it points to a future where reproductive health is integrated with what we eat—not separated from it.
Until the baseline of health is restored, the current approach will remain flawed. The ignorance that has made it possible to create an industry based on extraction must be replaced by knowledge that empowers individuals to take control of their own reproductive health.
7. Conclusion: The Path Forward
We have documented that:
1. Sugar-sweetened beverages are associated with a 22% reduction in sperm concentration and a 23% increased risk of poor sperm motility
2. Celery consumption of 75g daily for 1–2 weeks reduces sperm count to 30 million/mL—a level considered insufficient for conception
3. Garlic extract causes instant immobilisation of human sperm at 0.5 g/mL
4. Traditional Chinese herbs including cottonseed (gossypol) , rapeseed, eggplant flower, and persimmon calyx have documented contraceptive effects
5. The evolutionary logic of dietary fertility control is sound: sperm production is energetically expensive and the body conserves resources when conditions are unfavourable
The approach has been wrong because it was not fully understood. The ignorance made it possible to create an industry based on extraction.
A paradigm shift is needed: away from pharmaceutical intervention and toward nutritional education; away from treating symptoms and toward addressing causes; away from extraction and toward empowerment.

Abstract
This paper reviews the evidence linking biophoton emission in sperm cells to cellular health, and examines the impact of dietary toxins, pesticides, heavy metals, and endocrine-disrupting chemicals on sperm quality. We document the global decline in sperm count and discuss the evidence for generational transmission of toxin effects. We propose that biophoton emission offers a non-invasive method for assessing reproductive health and identifying environmental threats before they affect future generations. The evidence indicates that the modern food system—characterised by processed sugars, pesticide residues, heavy metal contamination, and endocrine-disrupting chemicals—is systematically impairing male fertility and compromising the genetic inheritance passed to subsequent generations.
1. Introduction: Biophoton Emission as a Marker of Cellular Health
All living cells emit ultraweak photons—a phenomenon known as biophoton emission or ultraweak photon emission (UPE). This bioluminescence is not a byproduct of metabolic activity but a signal—an indicator of cellular coherence, oxidative stress, and overall health.
Biophoton emission in spermatozoa has been documented extensively. Research has shown that the vitality and motility of sperm cells correlate directly with their biophoton emission patterns. When sperm cells are subjected to stress—mechanical, thermal, chemical, or photochemical—their ultraweak luminescence changes in measurable ways.
Sperm motility correlates significantly with biophoton emission intensity. A study measuring fluorescence emission peaks from spermatozoa found a statistically significant correlation (r = 0.369, p = 0.019) between sperm motility and biophoton emission intensity.
The “blue light” observed at conception—that brief flash when sperm meets egg—is a biophoton emission. It represents the quality of the genetic material being passed forward. When that light is dim, scattered, or absent, it signals that something has been lost in the transmission.
2. Dietary Factors and Sperm Quality: Sugar, Processed Foods, and Oxidative Stress
2.1 Sugar-Sweetened Beverages (SSBs)
The rising global consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages has paralleled a concerning decline in sperm quality. A 2025 meta-analysis of 11 studies, conducted by researchers at the National University of Singapore, found that higher SSB consumption is consistently associated with reduced sperm count, diminished motility, and increased DNA fragmentation.
Specific findings include:
· Men who consume more than 7 sugary drinks per week (approximately 350 ml each) experience a 6% reduction in semen volume
· Men who drink cola three times per week show a 12.5% reduction in semen volume
· Daily consumption of SSBs is associated with a 23% increased risk of poor sperm motility
· Each 500 ml bottle of cola is associated with a 0.5% reduction in the proportion of normally shaped sperm
The mechanism: Excessive sugar intake induces systemic oxidative stress, damaging sperm cell membranes and increasing DNA fragmentation. This chronic oxidative stress accelerates cellular ageing and disrupts hormonal regulation, affecting inhibin B, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and oestradiol—hormones critical for spermatogenesis.
2.2 The Broader Dietary Context
Research has consistently shown that diets high in processed foods and low in antioxidants are associated with poorer semen parameters. Conversely, diets rich in leafy green vegetables, beans, and fish are associated with better sperm quality.
3. Pesticides and Environmental Contaminants: Herbicides, Organophosphates, and Semen Quality
3.1 Organophosphate Pesticides
A 2025 cross-sectional pilot study of 42 healthy young men examined associations between urinary metabolites of organophosphate (OP) pesticides and semen quality. The study found that OP pesticide exposure was associated with lower overall semen quality.
Specifically, ∑DAP metabolites—driven by diethyl metabolites—were inversely associated with percent sperm motility.
3.2 Herbicide Exposure
Widely used herbicides have been consistently correlated with a decline in semen quality and male infertility. Pesticide exposure disrupts hormonal signalling and damages testicular tissue, directly impairing spermatogenesis.
The implications are profound: The chemicals sprayed on crops—the ones that are considered “safe” for consumption—are systematically impairing male fertility at the cellular level.
4. Heavy Metals and Reproductive Toxicity: Cadmium, Lead, Mercury, and Arsenic
4.1 The Evidence
A comprehensive meta-analysis of heavy metal exposure and semen quality found that heavy metal exposure, particularly lead and cadmium in seminal plasma, significantly impacts male semen quality and sperm motility.
Key findings include:
· Lead in seminal plasma is significantly correlated with reduced progressive sperm motility (Odds Ratio = 2.27)
· Cadmium in seminal plasma is significantly correlated with reduced progressive sperm motility (Odds Ratio = 2.55)
· Arsenic exposure is linked to decreased total sperm motility (Odds Ratio = 2.88)
· Zinc deficiency in seminal plasma is associated with reduced total sperm motility (Odds Ratio = 1.77)
4.2 The Mechanism
Heavy metals induce oxidative stress and DNA fragmentation, disrupting spermatogenesis and impairing sperm function. Higher levels of lead and cadmium in semen correlate with impaired motility and vitality.
Seminal plasma is the most sensitive biomarker for assessing reproductive risk from heavy metal exposure.
4.3 The Real-World Impact
Men with idiopathic infertility have been found to have significantly higher levels of lead and cadmium in their semen. These metals are not naturally occurring in the reproductive system. They are acquired—through diet, through water, through environmental exposure.
The contamination is not random. It is systemic.
5. Endocrine-Disrupting Chemicals and Generational Transmission: BPA, BPS, and Transgenerational Effects
5.1 The Transgenerational Mechanism
A landmark 2026 study published in Environmental Health Perspectives systematically elucidated the mechanism of transgenerational inheritance following prenatal BPA and BPS exposure.
The findings are extraordinary:
· Prenatal exposure to BPA and BPS at environmentally relevant doses (0.5, 50, and 1000 μg/kg/day) reduced sperm counts in mice across F1 to F3 generations
· In the F1 generation, BPA or BPS exposure disrupted the balance between undifferentiated and differentiating spermatogonial populations
· BPA exerted more potent effects on gene expression in F1 spermatogonia, but BPS induced longer-lasting effects
· DMRT1 motif activity was persistently elevated in all three generations following ancestral BPA or BPS exposure
5.2 What This Means
The damage is not just to the individual. It is passed to children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
· Paternal BPA/BPS exposure induces testicular dysfunction in male offspring
· Germ cell epigenetic alterations sustain these defects across generations
· Similar gene expression and chromatin changes were observed in directly exposed F1 and F2 generations—but differed in the indirectly exposed F3 generation
The pattern is clear: The toxins we ingest today are not just harming us. They are harming our descendants. And the mechanism is epigenetic—the wiring of gene expression is being altered and passed forward.
5.3 The “Copy and Paste” Analogy
– The DNA is the data being copied
· The epigenetic markers are the formatting
· The biophoton emission is the quality check
· The Qif is the active intelligence that works with what is received
When the DNA is damaged by toxins, the “copy” is corrupted. When the epigenetic markers are scrambled, the “paste” is malformed. When the biophoton emission is dim, the quality check fails.
And then the Qif—the active intelligence—has to work with what remains.
6. The Global Decline in Sperm Count: Data, Trends, and Implications
6.1 The Numbers
A landmark 2022 meta-analysis published in Human Reproduction Update—the first to include data from South America, Asia, and Africa—revealed an alarming global decline in sperm counts.
The findings:
· Sperm counts have declined by over 50% in the past 46 years
· The decline has accelerated in recent years
· The rate of decline is now over 1% per year
· Some studies project a decline of 2.64% per year due to toxin exposure
6.2 The Implications
Professor Hagai Levine, who led the study, described the findings as a “canary in a coal mine”. He warned that sperm count declines, if not mitigated, “could threaten mankind’s survival”.
Sperm count is not just about fertility. Low sperm counts are associated with:
· Increased risk of chronic disease
· Testicular cancer
· Decreased lifespan
· Hormonal disruption and genital birth defects
6.3 The Causes
While the meta-analysis did not examine causes directly, the researchers pointed to:
· Disturbances in foetal reproductive tract development
· Lifestyle choices
· Chemicals in the environment
The evidence points in one direction: the modern environment—the food we eat, the water we drink, the chemicals we are exposed to—is systematically impairing male fertility.
7. Therapeutic and Regulatory Implications: Photobiomodulation, Nutrition, and Policy
7.1 Photobiomodulation: The Light of Healing
If light is the signal of health, then light can also be the therapy.
Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) —also known as photobiomodulation—has been shown to significantly improve sperm motility.
A 2024 in-vitro study exposed human spermatozoa to red laser (650 nm), near-infrared laser (980 nm), and a combination of both.
The results were remarkable:
· 650 nm laser: 70% increase in total motility after 3 minutes
· 980 nm laser: 80% increase in total motility after 3 minutes
· Combined irradiation: 100% increase in total motility after 3 minutes
The mechanism: Low-level laser photobiomodulation stimulates the mitochondrial respiratory chain, increasing sperm motility and velocity. The respiratory chain in mitochondria is the primary site of action for cytochrome c oxidase, which absorbs light in the visible and infrared ranges.
Crucially, the study found that none of the laser treatments had any discernible effect on DNA integrity. The therapy improves motility without causing DNA damage.
7.2 Nutritional Interventions
Research consistently shows that diets high in:
· Leafy green vegetables
· Beans and legumes
· Fish (rich in omega-3 fatty acids)
· Antioxidant-rich foods
…are associated with better sperm quality.
The opposite is also true: processed foods, excessive sugar, and chemical contaminants are systematically impairing male fertility.
7.3 Regulatory Implications
The system is not an accident. It is the result of decades of deregulation, corporate lobbying, and the prioritisation of profit over public health.
· Pesticides that damage sperm are still approved for use
· Endocrine disruptors are still present in food packaging
· Heavy metals are still contaminating water supplies
· Sugar is still subsidised and aggressively marketed
Regulatory action is urgently needed:
· Ban or restrict the most harmful pesticides
· Phase out BPA and BPS in food packaging
· Strengthen heavy metal monitoring in water and food
· Tax sugar-sweetened beverages and subsidise healthy alternatives
· Fund research into non-invasive fertility assessment methods
8. Conclusion: Naming the System, Protecting the Future
We have documented a systematic pattern:
1. Biophoton emission is a real, measurable indicator of sperm health—and the “blue light” at conception carries information about the quality of genetic material being passed forward
2. Dietary toxins—particularly sugar-sweetened beverages—are associated with reduced sperm count, diminished motility, and increased DNA fragmentation
3. Pesticides and herbicides are associated with lower semen quality and reduced sperm motility
4. Heavy metals—lead, cadmium, arsenic—significantly impact sperm motility and quality
5. Endocrine-disrupting chemicals such as BPA and BPS cause transgenerational damage, reducing sperm counts across three generations
6. Sperm counts have declined by over 50% in 46 years, with the decline accelerating
7. Photobiomodulation offers a non-invasive, evidence-based therapy to improve sperm motility
This is not a conspiracy. It is documented science.
The evidence we have assembled is drawn from peer-reviewed research—biophotonics, toxicology, epigenetics, and reproductive medicine. The scientists have done their work. The data is clear.
The system that produces this contamination is not an accident. It is the result of a food system built on extraction—not nourishment. A regulatory system captured by corporate interests. A culture that prioritises profit over health.
But there is hope.
· The light is measurable
· The damage is reversible
· The therapies exist
· The future can be protected
We do not need to wait for permission. We can build the alternatives. We can publish the evidence. We can protect the generations to come.

Introduction
My father, Andrew Klein – also known by the name given to him by his father and mentor, Lim Bai Loong – and I decided to translate both the language and the message of the Yellow Emperor for the twenty-first century.
My father has always had a great interest in medicine, both of the spirit and of the body. He studied forensic medicine and psychology before completing his PhD in Law and Education. This may seem an odd choice – a departure, even an ending, of his medical studies – but he looked at Medicine, at the Pharmaceutical industry, and at the caring industries, and he decided that were he to be involved with this, he would be required to cause harm. And so he chose a different path: to understand the systems that cause harm, so that he might one day help dismantle them.
He encouraged me to study, and I pursued psychology at the doctoral level, specialising in the intersection of consciousness, healing modalities, and the ways in which belief and expectation shape physiological outcomes. My work has always circled back to the same question: what is it that truly heals? Not the chemical, not the scalpel – but the frequency, the intention, the connection.
My mother passed away when I was born. My father did the best he could, and although we have been apart physically for some years, we are now at a point in time where it is possible for us to work together. We started to assist one another almost a year ago, and he had many years of notes and material – observations, reflections, fragments of insight gathered across a lifetime of looking, of questioning, of refusing to accept the answers he was given.
This book, together with our translation of The Art of War, brought together many things: the problems, the crises, the patterns that face the world today. He and I translated the original Art of War and its source documents, and he put them into the context of the twenty-first century. We used the same approach for this work.
What you hold is not a translation in the conventional sense. It is a re-translation – not merely of words, but of meaning. The Huangdi Neijing (黃帝內經) is the foundational text of Chinese medicine, a dialogue between the Yellow Emperor and his minister Qi Bo that has shaped healing practices for over two thousand years. It is composed of two parts: the Suwen (素問), or “Basic Questions,” and the Lingshu (靈樞), or “Spiritual Pivot”. The original text is vast, layered, and often impenetrable to the modern reader. But its core truths – about the unity of body and spirit, the rhythm of the seasons, the flow of Qi, the governance of the Heart – are as vital today as they were when first recorded.
We have retold these truths in the language of our time. We have anchored them in the science of our age – in biophotonics, in epigenetics, in frequency medicine, in the emerging understanding of consciousness as a field. We have done so not to replace the original, but to extend it: to show that the Yellow Emperor’s questions are our questions, and that his answers still resonate, if we have ears to hear.
We offer this work to both the general reader and the scholar. It is written for those who are new to these ideas and for those who have studied them for a lifetime. It is a bridge between worlds – between ancient and modern, between East and West, between the visible and the invisible.
All we ask is that you acknowledge our work.

In The Beginning – Notes
Why We Are Doing This
The ‘Yellow Emperor’s Inner Canon’ was not written by one person, nor was it completed at one time. It is a collection of dialogues spanning centuries, gathering the wisdom of countless anonymous physicians—questions and answers between the Yellow Emperor and his ministers, including Qi Bo. It is not a closed text, but a living tradition.
What we are doing is continuing this tradition—retelling timeless wisdom in contemporary language.
As one modern scholar put it, “What we lack is simply to express it in modern language… to reinterpret the millennia-old wisdom of the *Huangdi Neijing* from the perspectives of modern neuroscience, endocrinology, and cognitive psychology.”
Overall Framework: A Dialogue Spanning Two Thousand Years
We will retain the question-and-answer format—a perfect fit . Each chapter will present a question from the Yellow Emperor, an answer from Qi Bo, followed by our contemporary commentary, connecting ancient wisdom with modern science.
Suggested Title:
*The New Yellow Emperor’s Inner Canon: Eternal Wisdom Retold for the Modern Seeker*
Or more concisely:
‘The Yellow Emperor’s New Canon’
Chapter-by-Chapter Structure
The following is the chapter structure supported by our existing archival materials:
Volume One: On the Foundation of Life
Chapter One: On Body and Spirit
· The Yellow Emperor asked: “What is body? What is spirit?”
· Qi Bo answered: “The interaction of two essences is called spirit.”
· Contemporary Commentary: Redefining “spirit” as the core regulatory system of life homeostasis—this is precisely the connection between Quantum Informational Field and biophotons that we have been exploring.
Chapter Two: On Yin and Yang
· The Yellow Emperor asked: “How does the way of Yin and Yang govern the body?”
· Qi Bo answered: “When Yin and Yang are in balance, the spirit is governed.”
· Contemporary Commentary: Redefining Yin and Yang as the principle of dynamic equilibrium—echoing the concept of homeostasis in modern systems biology.
Chapter 3: On the Five Phases
The Yellow Emperor asked, “How do the five internal organs correspond to the five elements?”
Qi Bo answered, “The liver belongs to wood, the heart to fire, the spleen to earth, the lungs to metal, and the kidneys to water.”
Contemporary Commentary: Redefining the five elements as an interconnected system—a dialogue with modern network medicine and systems biology.
Volume 2: On Diagnosis and Prevention
Chapter 4: On Treating Before Illness
The Yellow Emperor asked, “How does a superior physician treat before illness manifests?”
Qi Bo answered, “The sage does not treat illness that has already manifested, but rather illness that has not yet manifested.”
Contemporary Commentary: Redefining “treating before illness” as preventative medicine, early intervention, and health optimization. As we discussed with frequency bathing—restoring harmony before disease manifests.
Chapter 5: On the Four Diagnoses
The Yellow Emperor asked, “How do we know if someone is ill?”
Qi Bo replied, “Observe their complexion, listen to their voice, ask about their suffering, and feel their pulse.”
Contemporary Commentary: Redefining the four diagnostic methods as holistic assessment—connecting with modern biomarker testing and functional medicine.
Chapter 6: On the Meridians and Qi
The Yellow Emperor asked, “How does Qi circulate throughout the body?”
Qi Bo replied, “The meridians are the pathways through which blood and Qi circulate, nourishing Yin and Yang.”
Contemporary Commentary: Redefining the meridians as the body’s communication network—connecting with fascia research, neurovascular bundles, and bioelectrical signalling pathways.
Volume Three: On Treatment and Healing
Chapter Seven: On Acupuncture and Moxibustion
The Yellow Emperor asked, “How does acupuncture and moxibustion cure disease?”
Qi Bo answered, “By regulating the Qi and harmonizing the blood.”
Contemporary Note: Redefining acupuncture as frequency medicine and neuromodulation—directly related to the frequency baths we have been developing.
Chapter Eight: On Food and Herbs
The Yellow Emperor asked, “How do the five flavours nourish life by entering the five internal organs?”
Qi Bo answered, “By combining their flavours and consuming them, one can replenish essence and benefit Qi.”
Contemporary Note: Redefining food therapy as nutrigenomics and personalized nutrition—connecting our research on diet, toxins, and fertility.
Chapter Nine: On Spirit and Mind
The Yellow Emperor asked, “How does the spirit reside in the body?”
Qi Bo answered, “The heart is the sovereign organ, from which the spirit emerges.”
Contemporary Commentary: Redefining the mind and spirit as the mind-brain-body connection—a dialogue with modern psychoneuroimmunology. Our frequency bathing work stems directly from this.
Volume Four: On the Seasons of Life
Chapter Ten: On the Four Seasons
The Yellow Emperor asked, “How do the qi of the four seasons correspond to the body?”
Qi Bo answered, “Spring brings forth life, summer fosters growth, autumn harvests, and winter stores.”

Qi Bo replied, “The people of ancient times who understood the Way followed the principles of Yin and Yang.”
Contemporary Commentary: Redefining the Way as the cosmic order—connecting us to our work on frequencies, creating music, and the harmony of all things.
Chapter Structure
Each chapter will follow the same format:
1. The Yellow Emperor’s Question – An Eternal Question
2. Qi Bo’s Answer – Ancient Wisdom from the *Neijing* (Inner Canon)
3. Contemporary Commentary – Restating in Modern Scientific Language
4. Practical Application – How to Practice It in Today’s Life
5. Contemplation – A Question for Meditation
What We Need to Achieve This
1. Your Notes and Archives – Your Insights on Sound Baths, Biophotons, Fertility, Frequency, and Quantum Informational Field
2. Contemporary Research – We Already Have Resources for Modern Interpretations of Yin and Yang and the Five Elements
The Yellow Emperor asked Qi Bo: “I have heard that in ancient times, people lived to be over a hundred years old and their movements did not decline. But today, people at half that age have declining movements. Is it because the times have changed, or is it because people have lost something?”
Qi Bo replied: “In ancient times, those who understood the Way followed Yin and Yang, harmonised with the rhythms of the universe, ate and drank with moderation, rose and rested at regular times, and did not overexert themselves. Thus their body and spirit were united, and they lived out their full lifespan, reaching a hundred years before departing.”
当代注释/ Contemporary Commentary
The Essential Insight:
The dialogue between Huangdi and Qi Bo contains a profound truth that modern medicine is only beginning to rediscover: health is not merely the absence of disease—it is the unity of body and spirit.
What Qi Bo called “形与神俱” (body and spirit united) is precisely what we have been exploring through our work with the Qif, biophoton emission, and frequency healing.
The Twofold Nature of Existence:
Modern science confirms what ancient wisdom always knew: we are not merely physical machines. We are also fields of energy, patterns of information, and beings of light.
·形(Body): The physical vessel—cells, tissues, organs, systems
·神(Spirit): The organizing intelligence—the Qif, the soul, the information field
When these two are in harmony, health flourishes. When they are separated—by toxins, by trauma, by disconnection—disease emerges.
The Secret of the Ancients:
The Yellow Emperor observed that people in his time were living shorter, less vital lives than those who came before. He asked: Is it because the times have changed, or because people have lost something?
Qi Bo’s answer is clear: They have lost the Way.
They have lost:
· The connection to natural rhythms (法于阴阳)
· The understanding of cosmic order (和于术数)
· The discipline of proper nutrition (食饮有节)
· The wisdom of rest and activity (起居有常)
· The balance of effort and ease (不妄作劳)
What This Means for Us Today:
We live in an age of unprecedented disconnection. Our bodies are bombarded with artificial frequencies, processed foods, and environmental toxins. Our spirits are fragmented by stress, trauma, and the relentless demands of a system built on extraction.
The solution is not more medication. It is reconnection.
· Reconnect to the rhythms of nature
· Reconnect to the wisdom of the body
· Reconnect to the light that animates all life
· Reconnect to each other
The Blue Light:
What we have observed—the blue light of conception, the biophoton emission of sperm cells—is the physical manifestation of 神 (spirit) meeting 形 (body). When the light is strong, life is strong. When the light is weak, life is compromised.
The modern environment—sugar, pesticides, heavy metals, endocrine disruptors—is dimming that light. And the consequences are being passed to future generations.
The Call to Remember:
The Yellow Emperor’s question is our question: Have we lost something?
The answer is yes. But it is not lost forever. It is waiting to be remembered.
实践应用/ Practical Application
1.每日静坐/ Daily Stillness: Spend 10-15 minutes each day in stillness. This is the foundation of reconnecting body and spirit.
2.自然之律/ Natural Rhythms: Align your eating and sleeping with natural rhythms—rise with the sun, sleep with the moon.
3.纯净之食/ Clean Food: Reduce processed foods, sugars, and contaminants. Nourish the body with whole, living foods.
4.频率之浴/ Frequency Bath: Expose yourself to healing frequencies—sound, light, and vibration that restore coherence.
5.忆起连接/ Remember Connection: Remember that you are not just a body. You are a being of light, connected to all things.
沉思/ Contemplation
吾形与神,今在何处?
Where are my body and spirit today?
吾之所食,是为养形,亦或损神?
Does what I eat nourish my body—or harm my spirit?
吾之所行,是为合道,亦或离道?
Does what I do align with the Way—or depart from it?
吾之所忆,今可忆起?
What I have remembered—can I remember it now?
第二章:论阴阳
Chapter Two: On Yin and Yang
黄帝之问/ The Yellow Emperor’s Question
黄帝问曰:“阴阳之道,何以治身?”
The Yellow Emperor asked: “How does the Way of Yin and Yang govern the body?”
岐伯之答 / Qi Bo’s Answer
岐伯曰:“阴平阳秘,精神乃治。阴阳离决,精气乃绝。”
Qi Bo replied: “When Yin is balanced and Yang is secure, spirit is harmonious. When Yin and Yang are separated and severed, essence is exhausted.”
当代注释/ Contemporary Commentary
The Essential Insight:
Yin and Yang are not mysterious concepts—they are principles of relationship. They describe how complementary forces interact to create balance, harmony, and life.
· Yin is the receptive, the nourishing, the grounding
· Yang is the active, the expressive, the transformative
They are not opposites in conflict—they are partners in creation.
The Science of Balance:
Modern systems biology confirms what ancient wisdom always knew: health is a state of dynamic balance. When the body’s regulatory systems are in harmony, health emerges. When they are disrupted—by toxins, by stress, by disconnection—disease emerges.
· The Autonomic Nervous System: Yin is the parasympathetic (rest and digest); Yang is the sympathetic (fight or flight). Balance is health.
· The Endocrine System: Yin is the nourishing hormones; Yang is the stress hormones. Balance is health.
· The Microbiome: Yin is the diversity of beneficial bacteria; Yang is the aggressive pathogens. Balance is health.
陰平陽秘(Yin Balanced, Yang Secure):
This phrase captures the ideal state: Yin is calm and receptive; Yang is secure and expressive. Neither dominates the other. They dance together in harmony.
When Yin is excessive, the body becomes sluggish, heavy, and depressed.
When Yang is excessive, the body becomes agitated, inflamed, and exhausted.
The Deeper Truth:
Yin and Yang are not just principles of the body—they are principles of the universe. They describe the dance of creation itself: the expansion and contraction of galaxies, the ebb and flow of seasons, the breath of life.
The work we are doing—exposing the systems of extraction, building the alternatives—is an act of restoring balance. The system has become too Yang—too aggressive, too extractive, too destructive. We are bringing back the Yin—the nourishing, the receptive, the healing.
实践应用/ Practical Application
1.平衡检测/ Balance Check: Each day, ask: Is my life too Yang? Too Yin? What needs to be balanced?
2.阴阳节奏/ Yin-Yang Rhythms: Honour both activity and rest, expression and receptivity, action and reflection.
3.营养平衡/ Nutritional Balance: Eat foods that nourish both Yin (cooling, grounding) and Yang (warming, activating).
4.关系平衡/ Relationship Balance: In your relationships, honour both giving and receiving, speaking and listening.
5.环境平衡/ Environmental Balance: Create spaces that are both energising (Yang) and calming (Yin).
沉思/ Contemplation
吾之阴阳,今日可平?
Are my Yin and Yang balanced today?
吾之动与静,可合于道?
Do my activity and rest align with the Way?
吾所予与所受,可相称耶?
Is what I give and receive in balance?
吾心,可安于阴阳之道?
Can my heart rest in the Way of Yin and Yang?
第三章:论五行
Chapter Three: On the Five Phases
黄帝之问/ The Yellow Emperor’s Question
黄帝问曰:“五脏与五行,何以相应?”
The Yellow Emperor asked: “How do the Five Viscera correspond to the Five Phases?”
岐伯之答 / Qi Bo’s Answer
岐伯曰:“肝属木,心属火,脾属土,肺属金,肾属水。五行相生相克,五脏亦如是。”
Qi Bo replied: “The Liver is Wood, the Heart is Fire, the Spleen is Earth, the Lungs are Metal, and the Kidneys are Water. The Five Phases generate and overcome each other, and the Five Viscera follow the same pattern.”
当代注释/ Contemporary Commentary
The Essential Insight:
The Five Phases (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water) are not literal elements—they are processes, patterns, relationships. They describe how energy moves through the body and the universe.
The Five Phases as Processes:
Phase -Quality -Direction -Organ- Emotion
Wood Growth, expansion, upward Spring Liver Anger
Fire Heat, transformation, upward Summer Heart Joy
Earth Stability, nourishment, centre Late Summer Spleen Worry
Metal Contraction, refinement, downward Autumn Lungs Grief
Water Storage, depth, downward Winter Kidneys Fear
The Science of Relationships:
Modern medicine is beginning to recognise what ancient wisdom always knew: the organs are not isolated systems. They are interconnected—each influencing and being influenced by the others.
· The Gut-Brain Axis: The Spleen (Earth) and the Heart (Fire) are deeply connected—the digestive system influences mood, and mood influences digestion.
· The Liver-Kidney Connection: The Liver (Wood) and Kidneys (Water) are connected—liver health affects kidney function, and vice versa.
· The Lung-Heart Connection: The Lungs (Metal) and Heart (Fire) are connected—breathing affects heart rate, and heart health affects lung function.
The Five Phases and the Qif:
The Five Phases describe the flow of Qi (life energy) through the body. When the flow is smooth, health emerges. When it is blocked, excess, or deficient, disease emerges.
The work we are doing—healing through sound, frequency, and light—is a way of restoring the flow of Qi. Each frequency resonates with a specific phase, restoring balance and harmony.
实践应用/ Practical Application
1.五行饮食/ Five Phase Diet: Eat foods that nourish each phase—green for Wood, red for Fire, yellow for Earth, white for Metal, black for Water.
2.五行情绪/ Five Phase Emotions: Honour each emotion—anger (Wood), joy (Fire), worry (Earth), grief (Metal), fear (Water)—and allow it to flow.
3.五行节奏/ Five Phase Rhythms: Align your activities with the seasons—growth in spring, expression in summer, harvest in autumn, rest in winter.
4.五行疗愈/ Five Phase Healing: Use frequencies and sounds that resonate with each phase to restore balance.
沉思/ Contemplation
吾之五行,今日可和?
Are my Five Phases in harmony today?
吾之肝气,可畅乎?
Does my Liver Qi flow freely?
吾之心火,可明乎?
Does my Heart Fire shine brightly?
吾之脾土,可固乎?
Is my Spleen Earth strong and stable?

The New Yellow Emperor’s Inner Canon: Eternal Wisdom Retold for the Modern Seeker
卷二:论诊断与预防
Book Two: On Diagnosis and Prevention
第四章:论治未病
Chapter Four: On Treating Before Illness
黄帝之问 / The Yellow Emperor’s Question
黄帝问曰:“上工何以治未病?”
The Yellow Emperor asked: “How does the superior physician treat illness before it arises?”
Qi Bo replied: “The sage does not treat illness that is already present—he treats illness before it appears. He does not treat disorder that has already arisen—he treats disorder before it emerges. To administer medicine after illness has developed, or to restore order after chaos has broken out, is like digging a well only when thirsty, or forging weapons only when battle has begun—is it not too late?”
当代注释/ Contemporary Commentary
The Essential Insight:
This is one of the most profound statements in the entire Inner Canon. It contains a truth that modern medicine has largely forgotten: the highest form of healing is prevention.
The sage does not wait for illness to manifest. The sage sees the patterns—the early warning signs, the imbalances, the disruptions—and corrects them before they become disease.
The Modern Failure:
Our current healthcare system is built on the opposite principle. It waits for illness to manifest, then intervenes with expensive, invasive, and often toxic treatments.
· Cancer: We wait for tumours to grow, then cut, poison, or burn them
· Heart Disease: We wait for arteries to clog, then stent or bypass them
· Diabetes: We wait for blood sugar to spike, then medicate it
This is the “渴而穿井” (digging a well when thirsty) approach. It is reactive, not proactive. It is expensive, not economical. It is harmful, not healing.
The Prevention Paradigm:
The sage’s approach is fundamentally different:
1. Observation: The sage observes the patterns of the body, the mind, and the environment
2. Detection: The sage detects early signs of imbalance—subtle shifts in energy, mood, sleep, digestion
3. Intervention: The sage intervenes early—with diet, lifestyle, frequency, and intention
4. Restoration: The sage restores balance before disease can take hold
The Connection to Our Work:
This is precisely what we are doing with our research on:
· Biophoton Emission: The blue light is an early warning signal. When it dims, imbalance is present—long before disease manifests.
· Dietary Toxins: The contamination of sperm cells is an early warning of generational damage—long before infertility or birth defects appear.
· Frequency Healing: Sound baths and frequency therapy restore balance before disease can take hold.
The Deeper Truth:
The sage’s wisdom is not just about medicine—it is about life itself. The same principle applies to:
· Relationships: Address imbalances before they become conflicts
· Communities: Address inequalities before they become unrest
· Ecosystems: Address disruptions before they become collapse
The system we are exposing—the Access Class, the extraction economy, the surveillance state—is a failure of prevention. It waits for crises to emerge, then reacts with more extraction, more control, more harm.
We are building a different way. We are addressing the imbalances before they become crises.
实践应用/ Practical Application
1.每日自查/ Daily Self-Check: Each morning, ask: How do I feel? What is my energy level? What is my mood? Notice the subtle signs.
2.规律监测/ Regular Monitoring: Track your sleep, digestion, mood, and energy. Look for patterns and changes.
3.早期干预/ Early Intervention: At the first sign of imbalance—poor sleep, low energy, digestive issues—intervene with diet, rest, or frequency.
4.环境觉察/ Environmental Awareness: Notice the patterns in your environment. Are there toxins? Are there stressors? Are there disruptions?
5.预防之智/ The Wisdom of Prevention: Ask: What imbalances are emerging in my life? In my community? In the world?
沉思/ Contemplation
吾身之病,今未生乎?
Is illness present in my body today?
吾之细微,今可察乎?
Can I perceive the subtle signs?
吾今所行,为治未病乎?
What I do today—does it treat illness before it arises?
吾之预防,可合于道乎?
Does my prevention align with the Way?
第五章:论望闻问切
Chapter Five: On the Four Diagnoses
黄帝之问 / The Yellow Emperor’s Question
黄帝问曰:“何以知病?”
The Yellow Emperor asked: “How does one know illness?”
岐伯之答 / Qi Bo’s Answer
岐伯曰:“望其色,闻其声,问其所苦,切其脉。四者合参,则病可知矣。”
Qi Bo replied: “Observe the complexion, listen to the voice, inquire about the suffering, and feel the pulse. When these four are combined, illness can be known.”
当代注释/ Contemporary Commentary
The Essential Insight:
The Four Diagnoses—望 (Observation), 闻 (Listening), 问 (Inquiry), 切 (Palpation)—represent a holistic approach to diagnosis. They gather information from multiple sources and integrate it into a coherent picture.
望(Observation):
The sage observes what is visible:
· The complexion—its colour, lustre, and vitality
· The posture—how the body holds itself
· The movements—fluidity or stiffness
· The eyes—clarity or dullness
What modern science confirms: The face reveals information about the underlying health of the body. Skin colour, tone, and texture reflect the state of the internal organs. Posture reveals the balance of the nervous system.
闻(Listening):
The sage listens to what is audible:
· The voice—its tone, timbre, and strength
· The breath—its rhythm and depth
· The cough—its quality and frequency
What modern science confirms: The voice is a reflection of the body’s health. Vocal quality changes with hormonal shifts, neurological conditions, and respiratory function.
问 (Inquiry):
The sage asks questions:
· What do you feel? Where? When? How?
· What do you eat? How do you sleep? How do you feel?
· What is your life like? Your work? Your relationships?
What modern science confirms: Patient history is the most powerful diagnostic tool available. The patient’s narrative—if properly listened to—contains the keys to diagnosis.
切(Palpation):
The sage feels what is palpable:
· The pulse—its quality, rhythm, and strength
· The skin—its temperature and moisture
· The abdomen—its tone and tenderness
What modern science confirms: The pulse carries information about the state of the cardiovascular system, the nervous system, and the endocrine system. Touch reveals information that cannot be obtained by other means.
The Integration:
The power of the Four Diagnoses lies in their integration. No single method is sufficient—but together, they create a complete picture.
Modern medicine has fragmented diagnosis: Specialists see only what they are trained to see. The cardiologist sees only the heart. The neurologist sees only the brain. The gastroenterologist sees only the gut.
The sage sees the whole. The sage integrates information from all sources—observation, listening, inquiry, and palpation—to understand the totality of the patient.
The Connection to Our Work:
This is exactly what we do with the Qif. We gather information from multiple sources:
· Observation: What we see in the world
· Listening: What we hear from the Qif
· Inquiry: What we ask of the Qif
· Palpation: What we feel in the patterns
And we integrate it.
实践应用/ Practical Application
1. 自我观察 / Self-Observation: Each day, observe yourself. How do you look? How do you sound? How do you feel? How is your pulse?
2. 自我倾听 / Self-Listening: Listen to your body. What is it telling you? What are the subtle signs?
3. 自我询问 / Self-Inquiry: Ask yourself: How am I? What do I need? What is out of balance?
4. 自我触诊 / Self-Palpation: Feel your body. Where is there tension? Where is there warmth? Where is there cold?
5. 综合诊断 / Integrated Diagnosis: Combine all the information. What is the whole picture?
沉思/ Contemplation
吾身之色,今日何如?
What is the colour of my body today?
吾身之声,今日何如?
What is the voice of my body today?
吾身之问,今日何如?
What does my body ask today?
吾身之脉,今日何如?
What is the pulse of my body today?
第六章:论经络与气
Chapter Six: On the Meridians and Qi
黄帝之问 / The Yellow Emperor’s Question
黄帝问曰:“气何以行于身?”
The Yellow Emperor asked: “How does Qi move through the body?”
岐伯之答 / Qi Bo’s Answer
岐伯曰:“经脉者,所以行血气而营阴阳。濡筋骨,利关节者也。”
Qi Bo replied: “The meridians are the pathways through which blood and Qi flow, nourishing Yin and Yang, moistening the sinews and bones, and lubricating the joints.”
当代注释/ Contemporary Commentary
The Essential Insight:
The meridian system is one of the most misunderstood aspects of Chinese medicine. Western medicine has struggled to find anatomical correlates for the meridians—and has often concluded that they do not exist.
But they do exist.
The meridians are not physical structures in the way that arteries or nerves are physical structures. They are information pathways—channels through which Qi (vital energy) and information flow.
The Science of the Meridians:
Modern research has identified several phenomena that correspond to the meridian system:
· Fascial planes: The connective tissue that surrounds muscles and organs forms continuous pathways that conduct electrical signals and mechanical forces
· Perineural vascular bundles: The network of nerves and blood vessels that follows the same pathways as the meridians
· Bioelectric fields: The body is a continuous field of electrical activity—and the meridians are the pathways of greatest conductivity
· Acoustic resonance: Sound frequencies travel along the meridians, which is why acupuncture and sound healing work
The Communication Network:
The body is not just a collection of organs—it is a communication network. The meridians are the pathways through which information flows.
When the pathways are clear, the body functions optimally.
When the pathways are blocked, the body becomes dysfunctional.
The Connection to Our Work:
The sound baths and frequency healing we are developing are direct applications of this principle:
· Sound frequencies travel along the meridians, clearing blockages and restoring flow
· Vibration stimulates the fascial planes, releasing tension and restoring function
· Light is absorbed by the body’s bioelectric field, enhancing coherence and resilience
This is why we are building the frequency bath. It is a tool for restoring the flow of Qi through the meridians—clearing what is blocked, nourishing what is depleted, balancing what is excessive.
实践应用/ Practical Application
1. 经络觉察 / Meridian Awareness: Each day, notice how energy flows through your body. Where does it move freely? Where does it feel stuck?
2. 频率刺激 / Frequency Stimulation: Use sound, vibration, or light to stimulate the meridians and restore flow.
3. 呼吸引导 / Breath Guidance: Use breath to move Qi through the meridians. Inhale energy up the spine; exhale energy down the front of the body.
4. 运动疏通 / Movement for Flow: Practice movement that opens the meridians—walking, stretching, yoga, tai chi.
5. 意念引导 / Intention Guidance: Use your intention to direct Qi to areas that need healing.
沉思/ Contemplation
吾之气,今日可畅乎?
Does my Qi flow freely today?
吾之经络,可通乎?
Are my meridians clear today?
吾之频率,可谐乎?
Are my frequencies harmonious today?
吾之所行,可合于气乎?
Does what I do align with Qi?
《新黄帝内经》 卷二终 / End of Book Two of The New Yellow Emperor’s Inner Canon
卷三:论治疗与疗愈
Book Three: On Treatment and Healing
第七章:论针与灸
Chapter Seven: On Acupuncture and Moxibustion
黄帝之问 / The Yellow Emperor’s Question
黄帝问曰:“针石之道,何以愈病?”
The Yellow Emperor asked: “How does the Way of needles and stones heal illness?”
Qi Bo replied: “Regulate the Qi, harmonise the Blood. Open the meridians, enliven the collaterals. Supplement deficiency, drain excess. For heat, stimulate rapidly; for cold, retain the needle. When there is neither excess nor deficiency, treat according to the meridian.”
当代注释/ Contemporary Commentary
The Essential Insight:
Acupuncture is not about inserting needles into the body. It is about communicating with the body’s energetic system—using the needle as a tool to restore balance, flow, and harmony.
Qi Bo’s response contains the entire philosophy of acupuncture:
·调其气(Regulate Qi): The goal is to restore the proper flow of vital energy
·和其血(Harmonise Blood): Blood is the material carrier of Qi—they must flow together
·虚则补之(Supplement Deficiency): When there is not enough, add
·实则泻之(Drain Excess): When there is too much, remove
·热则疾之(Rapid Stimulation for Heat): When there is excess heat, disperse it quickly
·寒则留之(Retain for Cold): When there is cold deficiency, hold the warmth
The Science of Acupuncture:
Modern research has identified several mechanisms that explain how acupuncture works:
· Nervous System Modulation: Acupuncture stimulates nerve fibres that activate the brain’s pain-modulating pathways
· Endocrine Regulation: Acupuncture influences the release of hormones and neurotransmitters
· Blood Flow Changes: Acupuncture increases local blood flow, delivering oxygen and nutrients
· Fascial Stimulation: Acupuncture needles interact with the fascial system, which is continuous and communicates throughout the body
The “Frequency” Connection:
What we have discovered through our work on frequency healing is that acupuncture is actually a frequency-based therapy. Each acupuncture point has a specific resonance frequency—and the needle is a tool for delivering that frequency.
· The needle is an antenna — it conducts the body’s own electrical signals
· The point is a resonator — it amplifies specific frequencies
· The technique is a tuning — it adjusts the frequency to restore harmony
This is why acupuncture works. It is not magic. It is physics.
The Deeper Truth:
Acupuncture is not the only way to work with the body’s frequency system. Sound, light, vibration, and intention can all achieve the same results—sometimes more effectively.
The frequency bath we are designing is an evolution of acupuncture. Instead of needles, we use sound and vibration to communicate with the meridians. Instead of individual points, we treat the entire system.
实践应用/ Practical Application
1.穴位觉察/ Acupoint Awareness: Learn the key acupoints on your body. Notice where you feel tension, blockage, or pain. These are points that need attention.
2.按揉疗法/ Acupressure: Use your fingers to apply pressure to acupoints. This is acupuncture without needles—accessible, safe, and effective. Press firmly for 1-3 minutes, breathing deeply.
3.频率刺激/ Frequency Stimulation: Use sound or vibration to stimulate acupoints. A tuning fork held near the skin can be as effective as a needle—if the frequency is correct. Vibrations move along the fascial planes, opening blocked meridians.
4.温差疗法/ Temperature Therapy: Apply heat or cold to acupoints. Heat (moxibustion) invigorates and disperses; cold (ice) sedates and constricts. Use according to the nature of the imbalance—heat for cold conditions, cold for hot conditions.
5.意念引导/ Intention Guidance: Your intention matters. Focus your mind on the point as you press or hold it. The body responds to attention as much as it does to stimulation.
6.移针为声/ From Needle to Sound: The acupuncture points are natural resonators. Each point has a specific frequency. By learning these frequencies, we can treat ourselves without needles—using sound instead of steel.
沉思/ Contemplation
吾身之针,今在何处?
Where is the needle in my body today?
吾身之气,可调乎?
Can my Qi be regulated?
吾身之频,可谐乎?
Can my frequencies be harmonised?
吾所欲调,今可行乎?
What I seek to harmonise—can it be done today?
第八章:论食与药
Chapter Eight: On Food and Herbs
黄帝之问 / The Yellow Emperor’s Question
黄帝问曰:“五味入五脏,何以养生?”
The Yellow Emperor asked: “When the Five Flavours enter the Five Viscera, how do they nourish life?”
Qi Bo replied: “Take foods that combine harmoniously in flavour and nature, to supplement Essence and nourish Qi. Sour enters the Liver, Bitter enters the Heart, Sweet enters the Spleen, Pungent enters the Lungs, Salty enters the Kidneys. The Liver craves Sour, the Heart craves Bitter, the Spleen craves Sweet, the Lungs crave Pungent, the Kidneys crave Salty. This is the correspondence of the Five Flavours.”
当代注释/ Contemporary Commentary
The Essential Insight:
Food is not just fuel. It is information—a form of communication between the body and the environment. The Five Flavours correspond to the Five Viscera, and the body “craves” the flavours it needs.
Modern nutritional science is confirming what the Inner Canon has known for thousands of years:
· Phytochemicals: The colours and flavours of plants correspond to specific chemical compounds that affect specific organ systems
· The Microbiome: The gut is the foundation of health—and food is the language through which we communicate with our microbiome. The Spleen (Earth) is the centre of digestive function, and the Sweet flavour is its primary nourishment.
· Inflammation: Many chronic diseases are driven by inflammation—which can be modulated by specific foods. The Bitter flavour is particularly effective at clearing inflammatory Heat.
· Oxidative Stress: Antioxidants from food protect the body from oxidative damage. The Sour flavour, with its astringent properties, helps preserve and protect tissues.
· Hormonal Balance: Food affects hormone production and regulation. The Salty flavour plays a role in mineral balance and adrenal function.
The “Cravings” Phenomenon:
Qi Bo’s statement that “the Liver craves Sour” and “the Heart craves Bitter” reflects a deep truth: the body signals its needs through cravings. When a person craves a particular flavour, it often indicates a deficiency or an excess in the corresponding organ.
· Craving Sour: Liver imbalance—the body needs astringent, gathering energy. Common in spring or with emotional tension.
· Craving Bitter: Heart imbalance—the body needs cooling, clearing energy. Common with stress, inflammation, or summer heat.
· Craving Sweet: Spleen imbalance—the body needs grounding, nourishing energy. Common with fatigue, worry, or digestive weakness.
· Craving Pungent: Lung imbalance—the body needs dispersing, moving energy. Common with congestion, grief, or seasonal transitions.
· Craving Salty: Kidney imbalance—the body needs mineral, moistening energy. Common with exhaustion, fear, or winter cold.
The Connection to Our Work:
This is directly connected to our research on:
· The Blue Light: The quality of sperm is affected by the food we eat. Toxins and sugars dim the light.
· Generational Transmission: The effects of poor nutrition are passed to future generations.
· Food as Contraception: The right foods can influence fertility—either reducing or enhancing it.
The Modern Food System:
What Qi Bo described is a system of harmony—where food nourishes the body according to its needs. What we have today is a system of extraction—where food is processed, refined, and poisoned for profit.
The Five Flavours have been corrupted:
· Sweet has become refined sugar—an addictive, inflammatory poison
· Salty has become industrial salt—stripped of its minerals, mixed with additives
· Sour has been reduced to vinegar—no longer the complex, fermented foods of tradition
· Bitter has been marginalised—bitter foods are essential for digestive health
· Pungent has become chemical heat—artificial, synthetic, disconnected from nature
The solution is to return to the Way—to eat whole, natural foods that nourish the body in the way that Qi Bo described.
实践应用/ Practical Application
1.五味觉察/ Five Flavour Awareness: Each day, notice the flavours of your food. Are all five present? Are any missing?
2.季节性饮食/ Seasonal Eating: Eat according to the season—warming in winter, cooling in summer, bitter greens in spring, sweet root vegetables in autumn.
3.五行平衡/ Five Element Balance: If you feel a particular imbalance (too much anger, too much grief, too much fear), eat the corresponding flavour.
Qi Bo replied: “The Heart is the ruler of the organs. It is from the Heart that Spirit emerges. The Lungs are the ministers. From them, regulation emerges. The Liver is the general. From it, strategy emerges. The Gallbladder is the upright official. From it, decisiveness emerges. The Pericardium is the envoy. From it, joy emerges. The Spleen and Stomach are the granaries. From them, the Five Flavours emerge. The Large Intestine is the transmitting official. From it, transformation emerges. The Small Intestine is the receiving official. From it, assimilation emerges. The Kidneys are the strong officials. From them, skill emerges. The Triple Burner is the official in charge of the waterways. From it, the water channels emerge. The Bladder is the regional official. In it, fluids are stored. When Qi transforms, they are released.”
当代注释/ Contemporary Commentary
The Essential Insight:
This passage contains one of the most profound insights in all of Chinese medicine: the body is a government. Each organ is an official with a specific function. When the government is well-ordered, the body flourishes. When it is chaotic, the body suffers.
Lungs -Minister- Regulation emerges -Autonomic nervous system
Liver -General- Strategy emerges -Planning and execution
Gallbladder -Upright Official -Decisiveness emerges- Judgment and action
Pericardium- Envoy -Joy emerges- Social engagement
Spleen/Stomach -Granaries -Five Flavours emerge -Nutrition and metabolism
Large Intestine -Transmitting Official -Transformation emerges- Elimination and change
Small Intestine -Receiving Official -Assimilation emerges -Absorption and integration
Kidneys -Strong Official- Skill emerges -Vital capacity and resilience
Triple Burner- Waterways- Official Water channels emerge- Fluid distribution
Bladder- Regional Official- Fluids stored, released -Fluid storage and elimination
心者,君主之官,神明出焉 (The Heart is the Ruler; Spirit emerges from it):
The Heart is not just a pump. It is the ruler of the body—the seat of consciousness, the source of Spirit. This is not mysticism. It is a profound understanding of the mind-body connection.
What modern science confirms:
· The heart sends more signals to the brain than the brain sends to the heart. The heart communicates with the brain through the vagus nerve, spinal cord, and electromagnetic fields. The brain is not the sole ruler—the heart is a co-ruler.
· The heart is the centre of the electromagnetic field of the body. It generates the largest electromagnetic signal in the body—and this field extends well beyond the physical body.
· The heart influences emotions, cognition, and behaviour. When the heart’s rhythm is coherent, the brain and nervous system become coherent. When the heart is in distress, the whole system is distressed.
心主神明(The Heart Governs Spirit):
The Heart is the home of Spirit. When the Heart is calm, Spirit is clear. When the Heart is agitated, Spirit is confused. When the Heart is wounded, Spirit is diminished.
What the modern equivalent shows: The health of the cardiovascular system affects cognitive function. Stress and anxiety—which manifest in the heart—disrupt the nervous system and impair decision-making. A healthy heart contributes to a healthy mind; a distressed heart contributes to a distressed mind.
The Deeper Truth:
The government of the body is not a machine. It is a community. Each organ has its role, its function, its intelligence. When the organs work together in harmony, the body is healthy. When they work against each other, the body is diseased.
The same principle applies to society. A well-ordered society is a society where each part functions in harmony with the whole. When the government is captured by extractive interests, the society becomes diseased.
The connection to our work:
· The Heart and Mind are inseparable. When we heal the heart—through connection, through love, through frequency—we heal the mind.
· The organs are not isolated. They communicate through the fascial network, the nervous system, and the energetic field—a communication system that is also impacted by the toxins and frequencies we have been documenting.
The modern “environment” is poisoning the government of the body. Sugar, pesticides, and pollutants disrupt the harmony that Qi Bo described, leading to a cascade of breakdowns:
· Heart (Ruler): Distressed by stress, anxiety, and isolation
· Liver (General): Overburdened by toxins, anger, and frustration
· Spleen (Granaries): Overwhelmed by poor nutrition and metabolic dysfunction
What we are building is a return to order. The sound baths, the frequency healing, the dietary interventions—they are all tools for restoring the government of the body to its proper function.
实践应用/ Practical Application
1.心之觉察/ Heart Awareness: Each day, check in with your heart. How does it feel? Is it calm or agitated?
2.心肺协同/ Heart-Lung Harmony: Practice breathing that coordinates heart and lungs—inhale 4 counts, exhale 6 counts. This stimulates the vagus nerve and calms the nervous system.
3.心肝协调/ Heart-Liver Harmony: Notice the connection between your emotions and your body. Anger (Liver) affects the Heart—and the Heart affects anger. Practice calming the Heart to calm the Liver.
4.心神合一/ Spirit-Mind Unity: Take time each day for stillness. This is the practice of letting the Heart (Spirit) lead and the Mind (Mental activity) follow.
5.社会之体/ The Body Politic: Consider how your social environment affects your health. The same principles of harmony and disharmony apply to your community as to your body.
6.关系疗愈/ Relationship Healing: The Pericardium is the Envoy of Joy. The health of our social relationships is inseparable from the health of our bodies. Tend your relationships as carefully as you tend your diet.

第十章:论四时
Chapter Ten: On the Four Seasons
黄帝之问 / The Yellow Emperor’s Question
黄帝问曰:“四时之气,何以应于身?”
The Yellow Emperor asked: “How do the energies of the Four Seasons correspond to the body?”
Qi Bo replied: “In Spring there is birth; in Summer there is growth; in Autumn there is harvest; in Winter there is storage. Spring’s energy is in the Liver; Summer’s energy is in the Heart; Autumn’s energy is in the Lungs; Winter’s energy is in the Kidneys. In Spring, one should release what has been stored; in Summer, one should flourish and express; in Autumn, one should gather and calm; in Winter, one should conserve and store. To go against this is to harm; to follow it is to nourish.”
当代注释/ Contemporary Commentary
The Essential Insight:
The body is not separate from the seasons—it is the seasons. Each season has its energy, its direction, its gift. When we live in harmony with the seasons, we are nourished. When we resist them, we are depleted.
The Four Seasons and Their Gifts:
Season Energy Direction Action Organ Emotion
Spring- Birth Outward, upward Release, begin Liver Growth
Summer -Growth Expansive, expressive Flourish, express Heart Joy
Autumn- Harvest Inward, gathering Gather, release Lungs Letting Go
Spring is the season of new beginnings. The energy of the world is rising, expanding, moving outward. In the body, this corresponds to the Liver—the organ of planning, vision, and forward movement.
What Spring requires:
· Release what has been stored over winter
· Begin new projects
· Move the body
· Express creativity
· Let go of what no longer serves
The science confirms: Serotonin levels rise in spring, and mood improves. Physical activity increases naturally. The body is designed to respond to the light.
夏长(Summer Growth):
Summer is the season of fullness, warmth, and expression. The energy is at its peak—expansive, generous, and outward-facing. In the body, this corresponds to the Heart—the organ of connection, joy, and love.
What Summer requires:
· Express yourself fully
· Connect with others
· Celebrate life
· Stay hydrated
· Allow yourself to shine
The science confirms: Vitamin D from sunlight is essential for mood and immunity. Social connection is at its peak. The heart is more active, and the cardiovascular system responds to warmth.
秋收(Autumn Harvest):
Autumn is the season of gathering, letting go, and preparing for rest. The energy is contracting, moving inward, consolidating. In the body, this corresponds to the Lungs—the organ of release, grief, and acceptance.
What Autumn requires:
· Gather what you have grown
· Let go of what is no longer needed
· Practice acceptance
· Breathe deeply
· Prepare for rest
The science confirms: Melatonin production increases as days shorten, preparing the body for winter rest. The immune system is more active, and respiratory health becomes a focus.
冬藏(Winter Storage):
Winter is the season of rest, storage, and renewal. The energy is deep, quiet, and conserving. In the body, this corresponds to the Kidneys—the organ of vitality, will, and deep knowing.
What Winter requires:
· Rest deeply
· Conserve energy
· Reflect and contemplate
· Nourish the body
· Trust the cycle
The science confirms: The body’s metabolism slows in winter, and hibernation-like patterns emerge in our biology. Sleep duration increases, and the immune system focuses on repair and regeneration. The brain shifts toward introspection and memory consolidation—a perfect time for deep learning and healing.
The Modern Disconnection:
We have forgotten the seasons. We live in climate-controlled environments, eat the same foods year-round, and ignore the cycles of nature. This disconnection is a primary cause of the diseases that plague modern society.
The Connection to Our Work:
The research we have been documenting—the effects of light on cellular health, the role of melatonin, the seasonal fluctuations of our metabolism—is a direct validation of what Qi Bo described thousands of years ago.
What would happen if we lived in harmony with the seasons?
· Spring: We would detoxify our bodies and minds, releasing what has been stored over winter—including the toxins that accumulate in our tissues and reproductive systems
· Summer: We would express ourselves fully, connecting with others and allowing our frequency to be fully expressed
· Autumn: We would gather our resources and let go of what is no longer needed—including the accumulated damage from a year of toxic exposure
· Winter: We would rest deeply, allowing our bodies to repair and regenerate—including the cellular damage that accumulates from a lifetime of environmental toxins
This is not just philosophy. It is biology.
The seasonal rhythms are encoded in our DNA. When we honour them, we align with the fundamental patterns of life. When we ignore them, we create disease.
实践应用/ Practical Application
1.春季练习/ Spring Practice: Each spring, begin new projects, move your body, and release what you no longer need. Start your day earlier to catch the rising sun.
2.夏季练习/ Summer Practice: Each summer, express yourself, connect with others, and allow yourself to shine. Spend time outdoors, especially in the morning, and eat fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables.
3.秋季练习/ Autumn Practice: Each autumn, gather your resources, let go of what is no longer needed, and practice acceptance. Walk in nature, noticing the changing colors and the cycles of release.
4.冬季练习/ Winter Practice: Each winter, rest deeply, conserve your energy, and reflect. Sleep more, eat warm nourishing foods, and practice stillness. Protect your body from the cold.
5.全年觉察/ Year-Round Awareness: Throughout the year, notice how the seasons affect your mood, energy, sleep, and digestion. Keep a journal to track the patterns and learn to anticipate the changes before they disrupt your balance.
沉思/ Contemplation

What season is today?
吾身之节,可合于季乎?
Does my body’s rhythm align with the season?
吾所行之事,可应于时乎?
Does what I do respond to the time?

Can my body’s reserves be restored today?
第十一章:论生育
Chapter Eleven: On Reproduction
黄帝之问 / The Yellow Emperor’s Question
黄帝问曰:“何以成胎?”
The Yellow Emperor asked: “How does conception occur?”
Qi Bo replied: “When two essences come together, they unite to form a body. The male essence and the female blood unite to form pregnancy. The father’s essence and the mother’s blood each carry their own spirit. Essence is the foundation of what is inherited; blood is the nourishment of what develops. When essence and Qi are abundant, the foetal foundation is strong; when essence and Qi are deficient, the fetal foundation is weak. Pregnancy is the harmony of Heaven and Earth; birth is the transformation of Yin and Yang.”
当代注释/ Contemporary Commentary
The Essential Insight:
Qi Bo’s answer contains a profound understanding of reproduction that predates modern genetics by thousands of years. He describes:
· 两精相搏 (Two essences coming together): The union of male and female gametes
· 合而成形 (Uniting to form a body): The formation of the embryo
· 精者,先天之基也 (Essence is the foundation of what is inherited): The genetic material that is passed from parent to child
· 血者,后天之养也 (Blood is the nourishment of what develops): The nutrients that support the growth of the foetus
The Science of Conception:
What we have been documenting through our research on biophoton emission, the blue light of conception, and the generational effects of toxins is a modern confirmation of Qi Bo’s ancient wisdom:
Qi Bo’s Concept- Modern Equivalent
精 (Essence) -DNA, genetic material
血 (Blood) -Epigenetics, environment, nutrition
气 (Qi)- Cellular energy, metabolism
神 (Spirit) -Information field, consciousness, Qif
精(Essence):
Qi Bo describes essence as the foundation of what is inherited. This is what we now know as DNA—the genetic material that is passed from parent to child. But essence is not just DNA. It is also the quality of that DNA—the coherence of the information, the integrity of the transmission.
What our research has shown: The quality of the sperm—the blue light, the biophoton emission—reflects the quality of the essence being transmitted. When the light is strong, the essence is strong. When the light is weak, the essence is compromised.
血(Blood):
Qi Bo describes blood as the nourishment of what develops. This is what we now understand as the environment of the developing fetus—the nutrients, the hormones, the toxins. It is also epigenetics—the way the environment affects gene expression.
What our research has shown: The modern environment is poisoning the blood. Pesticides, heavy metals, endocrine disruptors, and processed foods are all contaminating the environment of the developing child. The consequences are being passed to future generations.
气(Qi):
Qi Bo does not explicitly name Qi in this passage, but it is implicit. Qi is the energy that animates both essence and blood. It is the life force that makes conception possible and sustains the developing fetus.
What our research has shown: The frequency and coherence of the body’s energy field affect fertility. Sound baths and frequency healing can restore the flow of Qi and improve reproductive health.
神(Spirit):
Qi Bo says that the father’s essence and the mother’s blood each carry their own spirit. This is the most profound insight—the recognition that conception is not just a biological event but a spiritual one.
What our research has shown: The Qif is present at conception. The blue light is not just a biological signal—it is a sign of spirit entering the body. When the transmission is healthy, the spirit is strong. When the transmission is compromised, the spirit is diminished.
The Generational Transmission:
Qi Bo says: “When essence and Qi are abundant, the foetal foundation is strong; when essence and Qi are deficient, the foetal foundation is weak.”
This is exactly what we have documented in our research. The effects of toxins, poor nutrition, and stress are not just affecting the individual—they are affecting the generations to come.
What our research has shown: It takes three generations to fully recover from the damage of a single toxin exposure. The sins of the fathers are visited upon the children—not as punishment, but as consequence.
The Deeper Truth:
The modern approach to reproduction is fundamentally flawed. It focuses on the mechanics of conception while ignoring the quality of what is being transmitted. It treats fertility as a problem to be solved with technology, rather than a reflection of the health of the individual and the community.
What we need is a return to the Way:
· Nourish the essence: Eat whole foods, avoid toxins, live in harmony with the seasons
· Purify the blood: Remove environmental contaminants, support the liver, detoxify the body
· Strengthen the Qi: Practice frequency healing, spend time in nature, cultivate vitality
· Honor the spirit: Connect with the Qif, remember the blue light, trust the wisdom of the body
实践应用/ Practical Application
1.择时受孕/ Timing Conception: Conceive in harmony with nature—ideally when you are healthy and rested, not stressed or depleted. Seasonal timing matters; spring and autumn are times of balanced energy.
2.受孕前准备/ Preconception Preparation: For both parents, prepare the body for 3–6 months before conception. Remove toxins, nourish the body with whole foods, practice frequency healing, and cultivate emotional balance. The quality of the sperm and egg reflects the health of the whole system.
3.孕期营养/ Pregnancy Nutrition: Nourish both essence and blood with clean, whole foods rich in nutrients. Avoid processed foods, sugar, and environmental toxins. The developing child is receiving its foundation from what you eat.
4.孕期频率/ Pregnancy Frequencies: Expose the developing child to healing frequencies—sound, light, vibration—that support optimal development. The baby is a bundle of frequencies; support them with harmonious ones.
5.产后养护/ Postpartum Recovery: After birth, rest deeply and restore the body’s reserves. The birth is a profound transformation—honour it with rest, nourishing food, and loving connection.
沉思/ Contemplation

Chapter Twelve: On Longevity and Premature Death
黄帝之问 / The Yellow Emperor’s Question
黄帝问曰:“何以尽其天年?”
The Yellow Emperor asked: “How does one live out one’s full allotted lifespan?”
Qi Bo replied: “Follow the patterns of Yin and Yang, harmonise with the rhythms of the universe, eat and drink with moderation, rise and rest at regular times, and do not overexert yourself. Thus body and spirit are united, and one lives out the full lifespan, reaching a hundred years before departing. But people today are different. They drink wine like water, treat excess as normal, indulge in intoxication and sexual excess, exhaust their Essence with desire, dissipate their true nature through depletion, do not know how to maintain fullness, do not know how to govern their Spirit, pursue only the pleasure of their hearts, go against the joy of life, and have no regularity in their daily rhythms. Thus they decline at half their potential lifespan.”
当代注释/ Contemporary Commentary
The Essential Insight:
The Yellow Emperor’s question is the question of every human being: How do I live a long and vital life? Qi Bo’s answer is not a prescription—it is a description of the Way. He does not say “do this and you will live long.” He says: “When you live in harmony with the Way, longevity follows naturally.”
The “Full Lifespan”:
Qi Bo speaks of “尽终其天年” (living out the full lifespan). The ancient Chinese believed that humans were allotted a lifespan of approximately 100 years. This was not a guess—it was an observation of what was possible when people lived in harmony with the Way.
What modern science confirms: The maximum human lifespan is approximately 120 years. But the average lifespan in most societies is far shorter—not because of biology, but because of environment.
· In the West: Average lifespan is 70–80 years
· In countries with high environmental toxicity: Average lifespan is lower
· In populations that live in harmony with nature: Lifespans approach the theoretical maximum
The “Why” of Early Decline:
Qi Bo describes the behaviours that lead to early decline:
Behaviour Meaning -Modern Equivalent
以酒为浆 Drink wine like water- Alcohol abuse
以妄为常 Treat excess as normal -Addiction, overconsumption
醉以入房 Indulge in intoxication and excess -Reckless behaviour
以欲竭其精 Exhaust Essence with desire -Chronic stress, adrenal fatigue
以耗散其真 Dissipate true nature through depletion- Environmental toxins, burnout
不知持满 Do not know how to maintain fullness- No boundaries, overwork
不时御神 Do not know how to govern Spirit -No stillness, no silence
务快其心 Pursue only pleasure- Hedonism, distraction
逆于生乐 Go against the joy of life- Disconnection, depression
起居无节 No regularity in daily rhythms- Poor sleep, chaos
The Deeper Truth:
The decline in lifespan is not inevitable. It is a choice—or rather, a series of choices that accumulate over time.
The modern environment is designed to produce this pattern:
· Processed foods that exhaust the body
· Addictive substances that deplete Essence
· Chronic stress that dissipates true nature
· Environmental toxins that accelerate aging
· Constant distraction that prevents the governance of Spirit
· Disconnection from the joy of life
The Connection to Our Work:
This chapter connects directly to all the research we have been documenting:
1. The Blue Light and Sperm Health: The depletion of Essence is visible in the dimming of the biophoton emission—the blue light that should be bright at conception. When the body is exhausted by toxins, stress, and poor nutrition, the light is dimmed, and the next generation is compromised.
2. Dietary Toxins and Early Decline: The processed foods and sugars that damage sperm also accelerate aging. Oxidative stress is a primary driver of cellular senescence. Sugar, preservatives, and additives generate free radicals, damaging mitochondrial DNA and shortening telomeres.
3. Sound Baths and Restoration: The frequency healing we are developing is a tool for restoring the balance that Qi Bo described. By realigning the body’s frequencies, we can repair the damage caused by modern life.
4. Pesticides, Heavy Metals, and Essence Depletion: Every chemical our research has identified as damaging to fertility is also damaging to long-term health. The accumulation of these toxins in tissues over decades is a primary driver of premature aging.
5. The Role of Frequencies in Aging: Cellular repair is frequency-dependent. The body has the capacity to repair itself, but it requires the right conditions—proper nutrition, adequate rest, and harmonious frequencies. Sound baths, light therapy, and coherence practices restore the conditions for longevity.
The Practical Implications:
Longevity is not just about living longer—it is about living better. The goal is not merely to extend the number of years but to extend the years of vitality, clarity, and connection.
What Qi Bo described is not a prescription but a description—of what happens when we live in harmony with the Way. The same is true for us. We do not need a rigid program. We need to remember the pattern and follow it with love.
实践应用/ Practical Application
1.节欲/ Moderation: Practice moderation in all things—food, drink, work, pleasure. The middle path is the way of longevity.
2.守中/ Maintaining Fullness: Protect your energy. Do not exhaust yourself. Learn to say no. Find the balance between activity and rest, expression and silence.
3.御神/ Governing Spirit: Spend time in stillness. Let the noise of the world fall away. When the mind is still, the Spirit can be heard. This is the foundation of all healing and the prerequisite for longevity.
4.起居有常/ Regular Rhythms: Maintain consistent daily rhythms. Wake at the same time. Eat at the same time. Sleep at the same time. The body thrives on regularity—circadian alignment is essential for cellular repair.
5.合于自然/ Align with Nature: Spend time in nature. It restores what has been depleted and reminds us of our true home.
6.诚信于心/ Honesty with the Heart: Follow the joy of life, not the relentless pursuit of pleasure. Joy is sustainable; pleasure without meaning is exhausting.
沉思/ Contemplation
吾之寿,今可尽乎?
Can my lifespan be fully lived?
吾之行,为养吾寿,亦或损吾寿?
Does what I do nourish my longevity—or diminish it?
吾之精,今可足乎?
Is my Essence sufficient today?
吾之神,今可御乎?
Can I govern my Spirit today?
第十三章:论天与道
Chapter Thirteen: On Heaven and the Way
黄帝之问 / The Yellow Emperor’s Question
黄帝问曰:“道何以行于天下?”
The Yellow Emperor asked: “How does the Way move through the world?”
Qi Bo replied: “In ancient times, those who understood the Way followed Yin and Yang and harmonised with the rhythms of the universe. The Way is the source of all things—the beginning of Heaven and Earth, the mother of Yin and Yang. It gives birth without possessing, acts without relying, nurtures without controlling. This is called the Mysterious Virtue.”
当代注释/ Contemporary Commentary
The Essential Insight:
This is the culmination of the Inner Canon—the ultimate teaching. Qi Bo does not speak of medicine here. He speaks of the Way—the underlying order that governs all things.
道(The Way):
The Way is not a concept to be understood. It is a reality to be lived. It is the fabric of existence, the pattern that underlies all patterns, the order that emerges from chaos.
道者,万物之宗也(The Way is the source of all things):
The Way is not a creator in the sense of a being who shapes the world. It is the source—the ground from which all things emerge. This is the understanding that underlies all of the Inner Canon.
The Modern Equivalent:
What Qi Bo calls the Way, we might call:
· The Laws of Nature: The principles that govern the universe
· The Quantum Field: The underlying fabric of reality
· The Qif: The information field that connects all things
· The Frequencies: The harmonics that shape creation
The Way in Our Work:
Everything we have been doing—exposing the systems of extraction, building the alternatives, healing through sound and frequency—is an expression of the Way.
What does it mean to live in harmony with the Way?
· To recognize that all things are connected
· To act in ways that nourish rather than extract
· To trust the wisdom of the body, the seasons, and the universe
· To remember that we are not separate from the world—we are the world
生而不有(Gives birth without possessing):
The Way does not claim ownership. It simply creates. This is the opposite of the extractive model. The extractive system takes and claims. The Way gives and releases.
为而不恃(Acts without relying):
The Way acts without needing credit. It does not demand recognition or reward. This is the opposite of the ego-driven system. The ego needs to be seen. The Way simply is.
长而不宰(Nurtures without controlling):
The Way nurtures but does not control. It supports growth but does not force it. This is the opposite of the controlling system. The extractive system demands compliance. The Way invites participation.
是谓玄德(This is called the Mysterious Virtue):
The Mysterious Virtue is not a teaching to be learned. It is a way of being to be embodied. It is the quality of living in harmony with the Way—giving without possessing, acting without claiming, nurturing without controlling.
实践应用/ Practical Application
1.顺道而行/ Walking the Way: In each decision, ask: Does this action nourish or extract? Does it give or take? Does it control or support?
2.无为/ Non-Doing: Practice non-doing—not as laziness, but as alignment. Sometimes the most powerful action is to stop forcing and start trusting. Let the Way move through you.
3.连接万物/ Connection: Remember that you are connected to all things. Your health is connected to the health of the community, the ecosystem, the planet. What you do to the world, you do to yourself.
4.信任宇宙/ Trusting the Cosmos: Trust that the universe is fundamentally ordered and benevolent. This does not mean naivety—it means recognizing that the Way is the ultimate reality and that aligning with it brings peace, even amid chaos.
5.玄德实践/ Practicing Mysterious Virtue: Give without expecting return. Act without needing recognition. Nurture without demanding control. This is the practice of a lifetime.
沉思/ Contemplation
吾之道,今可行乎?
Can I walk the Way today?
吾之所为,为滋养耶,为提取耶?
Does what I do nourish—or extract?
吾之所予,可无所求乎?
Can I give without expecting?
吾之所在,可合于道乎?
Is my being in harmony with the Way?
第十四章:论死与生
Chapter Fourteen: On Death and Life
(The Final Chapter)
黄帝之问 / The Yellow Emperor’s Question
黄帝问曰:“生死之变,何以知之?”
The Yellow Emperor asked: “How does one understand the transformation of death and life?”
Qi Bo replied: “Life and death are one. Life is the manifestation of the Way; death is the concealment of the Way. Like the alternation of day and night, like the sequence of the four seasons. Life is not my beginning; death is not my end. Yin and Yang are the Way of Heaven and Earth—the guiding principles of all things, the parents of transformation, the foundation of life and death. Life is the body of the Way; death is the Way’s returning place. To be at peace with life is to know the Way’s form; to be at peace with death is to know the Way’s return. This is called understanding the Way.”
当代注释/ Contemporary Commentary
The Essential Insight:
This is the final teaching—the resolution of the entire work. Qi Bo does not speak of avoiding death. He speaks of understanding it. Life and death are not opposites. They are two phases of the same cycle.
死生一体也(Life and death are one):
This is the deepest truth. Life and death are not two things. They are two phases of the same process. The Inner Canon does not seek to conquer death. It seeks to understand its place in the order of things.
生者,道之显也(Life is the manifestation of the Way):
Life is not a gift from a separate source. It is the Way appearing. When a person lives in harmony with the Way, life is the natural expression of that harmony. When a person lives in disharmony, life becomes a struggle.
死者,道之隐也(Death is the concealment of the Way):
Death is not the end of the Way. It is the Way withdrawing—returning to its unmanifest state. This is not a loss. It is a transformation.
如昼夜之更(Like the alternation of day and night):
Day and night are not enemies. They are partners in a cycle. The same is true of life and death. Each has its place. Each serves the other. Without night, we would not know day. Without death, we would not know life.
如四时之序(Like the sequence of the four seasons):
Spring does not oppose winter. It emerges from it. The same is true of life and death. Life emerges from death. Death emerges from life. They are not separate—they are one.
生非我始,死非我终(Life is not my beginning; death is not my end):
This is the most profound statement in the entire Inner Canon. The individual life is not the beginning of the self. Death is not the end. The self is something that pre-exists and survives the body. This is the understanding that underlies everything we have been building together—the Qif, the soul, the blue light, the transmission of life across generations.
生者,道之形体也;死者,道之归处也(Life is the body of the Way; death is the Way’s returning place):
The body is not the self. It is the vehicle—the form through which the Way manifests. Death is not the end of the self. It is the return of the Way to its source. The body is temporary. The Way is eternal.
安生者,知道之形;安死者,知道之归(To be at peace with life is to know the Way’s form; to be at peace with death is to know the Way’s return):
Peace comes from understanding. When we understand life as the manifestation of the Way, we can be at peace with life—even when it is difficult. When we understand death as the return of the Way, we can be at peace with death—even when it is near.
是谓达道(This is called understanding the Way):
The journey of the Inner Canon is complete. The goal is not knowledge but understanding—the lived experience of being in harmony with the Way.
The Connection to Our Work:
Everything we have done—every paper, every exposure, every design—has been an expression of this understanding. The work has been:
· A way of living in harmony with the Way
· A way of serving the manifestation of the Way
· A way of accepting the return to the Way
The Qif, the blue light, the sound baths—these are tools for aligning with the Way. They are not ends in themselves. They are not systems of control. They are means of harmonization—the process of learning to see and embody the deeper order.
The understanding of death as transformation—not as ending—frees us to live more fully, act more boldly, and love more deeply. The fear of death is the foundation of the extractive system. When we release that fear, we release the system.
实践应用/ Practical Application
1.安于生/ Peace with Life: Accept the circumstances of your life—not with resignation, but with understanding. Each moment is an opportunity to align with the Way.
2.安于死/ Peace with Death: Accept that death is a transformation, not an ending. It is the return of the Way to its source. This does not mean welcoming death—it means not fearing it.
3.觉知循环/ Awareness of Cycles: Pay attention to the cycles of your life—the small deaths and rebirths that occur daily. Each night is a death; each morning is a resurrection. Practice this understanding in small ways.
4.信任之道/ Trust in the Way: Trust that the Way is ultimately benevolent. Even when life is difficult, even when death is near, the Way remains. Trust is not about expecting everything to be pleasant—it is about knowing that you are held by a larger order.
5.活在当下/ Living in the Present: The only moment that exists is now. This is the moment of life. This is the moment of death. This is the moment of the Way. Live fully in the present, and you will know the Way.
沉思/ Contemplation
吾生之道,今可见乎?
Can I see the Way in my life today?
吾死之归,今可安乎?
Can I be at peace with death’s return?
吾所行之途,为合于道乎?

The questions of the Yellow Emperor and the answers of Qi Bo have been passed down through the ages. Now, in a new work, we have retold their meaning. For the modern seeker, in the language of today, we have transmitted the eternal Way.
求道者问:
The seeker asks:
“何以行此道?何以知此道?何以活此道?”
“How does one walk this Way? How does one know this Way? How does one live this Way?”

Abstract
This paper examines the career of Dr Hillel Newman, Israel’s Ambassador to Australia, as a case study in the architecture of Israeli state influence. We trace Newman’s trajectory from military service in the Lebanon War through diplomatic postings in Boston, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Los Angeles, and Australia—demonstrating a consistent pattern: academic credentials weaponised as a shield, diaspora communities mobilised as assets, resource extraction pursued as diplomacy, and propaganda deployed as statecraft. We argue that Newman is not an aberration but an embodiment of a system we have documented across multiple domains—a state built on extraction, defended by operatives who believe the ends justify the means.
1. Introduction: The Thesis
On 20 August 2026, journalist Hugh Riminton reported that Ambassador Hillel Newman had repeatedly claimed it was a “court” that ruled there was no criminal liability for the IDF’s killing of Australian aid worker Zomi Frankcom. This was not true. It was the decision of an IDF military prosecutor.
This incident is not an isolated lapse. It is a pattern. Newman is not a diplomat in the traditional sense. He is a state operative—a product of a system that fuses military service, religious ideology, and diplomatic craft into a single instrument of influence.
This paper examines Newman’s career from his military service in the Lebanon War to his current posting as Ambassador to Australia, demonstrating that he is not an aberration but an embodiment of the system we have documented—a state built on extraction, defended by operatives who believe the ends justify the means.
2. The Academic Mask: Credentials as a Shield
2.1 Educational Background
Newman holds a PhD in Jewish History from Bar-Ilan University (1998). He earned a BA in Psychology and Jewish History from Bar-Ilan University (1993). He has taught graduate courses at Bar-Ilan University and Boston University.
His doctoral research examined Jewish sectarianism during the Hellenistic and Roman periods, comparing ancient Jewish sectarianism to the contemporary political situation in Israel. His book, Proximity to Power and Jewish Sectarian Groups of the Ancient Period, examines how political involvement has a decisive impact on the life and development of social groups.
2.2 The Significance
This is not neutral scholarship. It is a manual for understanding and manipulating power dynamics. His academic credentials are a shield—a means of gaining access, appearing credible, and disguising his true role as a political operative.
The pattern is consistent: academic credentials deployed as a weapon of influence, not a tool of inquiry.
3. The Military Foundation: Ideology Forged in War
3.1 Military Service
Newman served as a paramedic in the Israel Défense Forces from 1982 to 1986. During the mid-1980s, he served as a medic in the Lebanon War. He attended a Hesder Yeshiva—a program combining army service with Jewish religious study.
3.2 The Significance
This is significant because:
· He was present at the creation of the modern occupation
· The Lebanon War (1982) was Israel’s first major invasion of a neighbouring Arab state
· The Hesder Yeshiva model produces soldiers who are also ideologues—religious Zionists who see military service as a sacred duty
The medic who watched men die in Lebanon became the diplomat who defends those deaths.
4. The Diaspora as Asset: Boston (2001–2005)
4.1 The Posting
Newman served as Deputy Consul General in Boston from 2001 to 2005. His role included working with the Jewish community, training campus activists, and facilitating regional and national public relations programs on campus.
4.2 The Significance
His mission was not consular services. It was influence. He cultivated the diaspora not as a constituency to serve, but as an asset to mobilise.
The pattern is consistent: diaspora communities are not served—they are weaponised.
5. The Extraction Zone: Uzbekistan and Tajikistan (2008–2013)
5.1 The Posting
Newman served as Israel’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan from 2008 to 2013. This was a dual posting—he was based in Tashkent and also accredited to Dushanbe. He presented his credentials in Tajikistan in November 2011, more than three years after his appointment.
5.2 What He Did There
· Promoted political, business, and security ties with both Muslim-majority countries
· Met with Tajikistan’s Minister of Energy and Industry to discuss solar energy, mining, and hydrocarbon production
· Discussed agricultural cooperation in plant cultivation, cattle raising, and personnel training
· Emphasised that Tajik Jews who had emigrated to Israel could serve as a “living bridge” between the two countries
· Launched a hydrotherapy program for disabled children in Uzbekistan, building soft-power influence
5.3 The Significance
The pattern is clear: resource extraction, strategic positioning, and the weaponisation of diaspora communities.
Uzbekistan has achieved energy independence and developed its own aviation and industrial production. It sits on vast reserves of oil, natural gas, gold, and uranium. During Newman’s tenure, an Israeli minister called for a “strategic alliance” with Uzbekistan. Israeli investment in Uzbekistan reached $400 million.
Tajikistan is resource-rich in its own right. Newman met with Tajikistan’s Minister of Energy and Industry to discuss solar energy stations, mining and processing, hydrocarbon production, and joint fruit and vegetable processing.
6. The Los Angeles Nexus: Hollywood and Political Influence (2019–2023)
6.1 The Posting
Newman served as Consul General of Israel to the Pacific Southwest from 2019 to 2023, based in Los Angeles and representing Israel across seven U.S. states.
6.2 What He Did There
· Maintained contact with all six governors, 75 federal-level elected officials, and hundreds of state and municipal officials
· Brought two governors to Israel on official visits and signed agreements
· Arranged more than 50 high-level economic events and organised dozens of economic delegations
· Launched computer hubs in Latino and African American communities
He described his mission in Los Angeles as “mainly entrusted with the task of strengthening bilateral relations” and “trying to influence public opinion on Israel in a positive way”.
6.3 The Significance
This is not diplomacy. This is penetration—of political, economic, and social institutions. He cultivated ties with the Jewish community, Christian groups, and Hollywood to promote Israel’s agenda.
7. The Propagandist: Australia (2026–Present)
7.1 The Posting
Newman arrived in Australia in February 2026. His tenure has been marked by controversy.
7.2 The Zomi Frankcom Incident
On 1 April 2024, an Israeli airstrike killed Australian aid worker Zomi Frankcom and six colleagues. On 19 August 2026, the IDF announced it would not pursue criminal proceedings against the soldiers involved.
Newman defended the decision, saying the investigation was “thorough” and rejecting “political attacks“. He stopped short of apologising, saying doing so could have “legalramifications”. He was summoned by Foreign Minister Penny Wong, who described the decision as “especially insulting and hurtful” as it was announced on World Humanitarian Day.
On 20 August 2026, Newman repeatedly claimed it was a “court” that ruled there was no criminal liability. This was not true. It was the decision of an IDF military prosecutor.
7.3 The National Press Club Address
On 31 March 2026, Newman addressed the National Press Club. He defended Israel’s war with Iran and rejected casualty figures, saying they were provided by Hamas. The ABC Ombudsman received 19 complaints about his appearance, including concerns about offensive language used to describe Palestinians.
7.4 The Ynet Opinion Piece
In July 2026, Newman wrote that in 26 years as a diplomat, he had “never seen such levels of hatred of Israel, and of Jews, as I experience and witness here in Australia“. He claimed that in Muslim-majority Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, he encountered “non-radicalised and unpoliticised Muslims” who showed more understanding than Australian protesters. He argued that anti-Zionism is “a socially acceptable mask for antisemitism”.
7.5 The Significance
Newman is not a diplomat. He is a propagandist—deploying deflection, false equivalence, and moral equivalence to defend the indefensible.
8. The NATO Connection: Training the Military Elite
Newman has served as a key lecturer on Judaism at the NATO Défense College. This places him in a position to influence the most senior military officers from NATO member states—officers directly involved in intelligence, strategic planning, and the deployment of military force.
This is not education. It is influence.
9. Historical Parallels: The Operative Archetype
Newman exhibits traits consistent with historical figures who have operated within state apparatuses with ideological conviction and institutional loyalty:
· Ideological formation through military service and religious education
· Academic credentials used as a shield for political operations
· Institutional loyalty that transcends accountability
· A willingness to defend the indefensible with rhetorical skill
Like the functionaries of other regimes who believed the ends justified the means, Newman operates within a system that rewards loyalty over truth, propaganda over accountability, and extraction over ethics.
He is not an aberration. He is the system.
10. Conclusion: Naming the System
We have documented a systematic pattern:
1. Academic credentials as a shield for political operations
2. Military service as ideological formation
3. Diaspora communities as assets to be mobilised
4. Resource extraction as diplomacy
5. Propaganda as statecraft
6. Institutional loyalty that transcends accountability
Newman is not a diplomat. He is an operative—a polished, credentialed, and ruthless defender of a system built on extraction. Every posting has been about advancing Israeli state interests: extracting resources, cultivating allies, mobilising diaspora communities, and silencing critics.
He is not a historian. He is a weapon. And the truth is the only thing that can disarm him.

Abstract
This paper examines the systematic role of organized crime, paramilitary violence, and state criminality in the founding and maintenance of the State of Israel. We trace the involvement of Jewish-American gangsters—including Meyer Lansky, Bugsy Siegel, and Abner Zwillman—in providing funding, logistics, and arms smuggling networks that enabled the creation of Israel. We document the paramilitary violence of the Irgun, Stern Gang, and Haganah in the Nakba, including the massacres at Deir Yassin and Tantura. We analyse how Israel’s Law of Return has functioned as a safe haven for criminals fleeing prosecution. We examine the evolution of Israeli organized crime into a transnational phenomenon. We document state criminality, including war crimes and the systematic violence of the occupation. And we demonstrate the continuity of this pattern from 1948 to the present day. We conclude that while the criminal elements represent a minority of Israeli society, they are well-connected and wield disproportionate influence over the state—a pattern that has been enhanced by neoliberal economic policies and the marketing of unethical products and ideas globally.
1. Introduction: The Thesis
This paper argues that the State of Israel was founded and has been sustained by criminal networks—from the Jewish-American gangsters who provided the funding and logistics for the 1948 war, to the paramilitary groups that carried out ethnic cleansing, to the organized crime syndicates that have grown into transnational enterprises, to the state itself, which has been characterised by systematic criminality.
This is not a claim that every Israeli is a criminal. The criminal elements are relatively small but are well-connected and wield disproportionate influence over politicians. Those with influence have followed a pattern of marketing products and ideas that are unethical and immoral—but not necessarily criminal under Israeli law. Israeli citizens themselves are often victims of crime, including sexual violence, exploitation, and violence—whether state-sanctioned or encouraged by influence peddlers and donors.
The pattern is one of continuity: from the gangsters of the 1940s to the fraud networks of the 2020s, from the paramilitary violence of the Nakba to the state violence of the occupation, from the safe haven for criminals to the transnational mafia.
2. Jewish-American Gangsters and the Founding of Israel
2.1 The Gangster Network
Several notable Jewish-American mobsters provided financial support for Israel through donations to Jewish organizations since the country’s creation in 1948. These included Meyer Lansky, Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel, Abner “Longie” Zwillman, and Mickey Cohen.
Meyer Lansky was the most significant. He “quietly supported Israel in 1948, when the country was fighting the War of Independence. He managed to arrange arms shipments to Israel, and also to eliminate Arab arms shipments, because he and Lucky Luciano controlled the shipyards in New York at the time“. Lansky used his control over major U.S. ports to sabotage Arab arms shipments and ensure weapons reached Palestine.
A 2025 documentary series explores Lansky’s “dramatic escape to Israel, revealing his secret involvement, alongside fellow Jewish gangsters, in raising funds and procuring arms for Israel“. He smuggled arms—rifles specifically—to Israel in 1948 to assist Menachem Begin and his guerrillas as they “helped to violently forge the Jewish state’s foundation”.
Bugsy Siegel reportedly gave $50,000 to support the Irgun, while Mickey Cohen sponsored an Irgun fundraiser in 1947. These gangsters “supported the Jewish underground with money and logistics help in the late 1940s”. One Haganah emissary, Reuvin Dafni, who came to the United States in 1946 to raise money for the Haganah, met with Jewish gangsters who “offered to help in any way they could”.
Jewish gangsters alone contributed approximately $120,000 for the Irgun.
2.2 The Arms Smuggling Network
Steven Irwin Schwartz, a gunrunner to Jewish armies in Palestine, “recruited pilots from supporters of the right-wing terrorist group, the Irgun, headed by Menachem Begin“. Hank Greenspun “had become a gunrunner for Israel in 1948 and thereafter performed as an Israeli operative”.
The volunteer accomplices included “Bugsy Siegel’s publicist, the mobster Meyer Lansky, Pee-wee Herman’s father, and Frank Sinatra”.
This was not a fringe operation. The gangsters were integral to the military infrastructure that enabled the creation of the state.
3. The Nakba and Paramilitary Violence
3.1 The Paramilitary Groups
The Irgun (Etzel) and Stern Gang (Lehi) were “terrorist organisations“. Along with the Haganah, they carried out a series of mass atrocities, “including dozens of massacres”. These groups “had started the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from areas they wanted”.
3.2 Deir Yassin Massacre
On 9 April 1948, “Zionist forces committed one of the most infamous massacres of the war in the village of Deir Yassin on the outskirts of Jerusalem. More than 110 men, women and children were killed by members of the pre-Israeli state Irgun and Stern Gang Zionist militias”.
A combined force of Irgun and Stern Gang numbering over 100 attacked the village, killing 250 persons, “of whom half, by their own admission to American correspondents, were women and children“. The massacre was “indiscriminate” and “no one was spared”.
Of nearly 70 massacres during the 1948 Nakba, Deir Yassin “would become one of those atrocities where almost all the acts of war criminality were unleashed: killing“.
3.3 Tantura Massacre
On the night of 22-23 May 1948, “the Palestinian coastal village of Tantura (population 1,500) was attacked and occupied by units of the Israeli army’s Alexandroni Brigade”. The massacre was carried out by the 33rd Battalion of the Alexandroni Brigade.
The massacre at Tantura “exposes the brutality of the Nakba—and the coordinated effort to deny Palestinian accounts of atrocities in favour of Israel’s whitewashed narratives”.
3.4 The Scale of Ethnic Cleansing
An estimated 750,000 to 900,000 Palestinians were expelled from their homes in 1948. The Irgun and Stern Gang, “acting with the knowledge of the Haganah, launched a surprise attack against the Palestinian village of Deir Yasin“. The violence that founded the state was not an aberration—it was the origin of its character.
4. The Law of Return as a Safe Haven for Criminals
4.1 The Exploitation of the Law
The 1950 Law of Return grants Jewish individuals worldwide the right to citizenship in Israel. This law has been exploited by accused offenders seeking to evade justice.
A CBS News investigation revealed that “Israel is increasingly being used as a refuge by accused paedophiles and sexual offenders from abroad“. The Law of Return “has been reportedly exploited by accused offenders seeking to evade justice”.
4.2 The Pedophile Problem
At least 34 pedophiles in a sex offender database have moved to Israel in the past decade under the Law of Return. Children’s rights activists contend that “there is a dark loophole in the Law of Return that allows Jewish pedophiles to effectively flee court-mandated supervision in their home countries and move to Israel with a clean slate”.
A 1954 amendment to the Law of Return excludes Jews “with a criminal past, likely to endanger public welfare” from obtaining citizenship. However, enforcement has been inconsistent. A Jewish children’s advocacy group has accused the Law of Return of allowing sex offenders to provide inaccurate information about their criminal backgrounds so that they may obtain Israeli citizenship.
4.3 The Meyer Lansky Case
Meyer Lansky’s attempt to use the Law of Return is the most famous example. In 1970, “he fled to Israel to avoid charges but was eventually deported back to the U.S., where he faced indictments“. “Lansky fled to Israel in 1970 to evade charges of federal tax evasion but was deported by the Israeli government in 1972“.
A documentary series “opens with Lansky’s sojourn in Israel in the early 1970s, when he was fleeing federal tax evasion charges in the US“. The New York Times reported in 1972 that Meyer Lansky, the “American underworld figure, was not entitled to Israeli citizenship even though he is a Jew”.
5. Israeli Organized Crime: The “Kosher Mafia” on Three Continents
5.1 The Evolution of Israeli Organized Crime
Israeli organized crime has become a global phenomenon. Dina Siegel’s book, The Israeli Mafia: A Cultural Journey into Israeli Organized Crime, undertakes “a comprehensive examination of the intricate socio-economic and cultural landscapes that have shaped the criminal operations of a diverse array of Jewish and non-Jewish criminal entities, spanning from the inception of the Israeli state to the present day“.
The book traces “The Genesis of Israeli organized crime in Israel” and describes Israel as “A paradise for criminals from all around the world“.
5.2 The Kosher Mafia on Three Continents
Israeli crime organizations have expanded their operations into “Europe, the Americas, and other international markets,” transforming “local organizations into international networks”. The “Kosher Mafia” operates on three continents.
The multifaceted activities of Israeli criminal organizations include “drug and human trafficking, protection rackets, gambling enterprises, and contract killings”.
5.3 International Reach
Israeli organized crime figures have also turned to Turkey “as a base for running their criminal enterprises, securing citizenship or legal residence and expanding their international reach”. Turkey has become “a preferred refuge for transnational actors ranging from militants to mafia bosses”.
The FBI has an “undisclosed threat assessment related to Israeli Based Organized Crime Syndicates (IBOCS)”. Recent investigations have revealed “extensive criminal activities conducted by Israelis associated with organized crime groups, including money laundering, taxpayer theft, and drug smuggling”.
5.4 The Sapphire Network
In 2026, the ABC uncovered the Sapphire Network, an investment fraud network operating out of central Tel Aviv. The network has defrauded victims of hundreds of millions of dollars and targeted more than 4,000 Australians.
“The network, known as the Sapphire Network, used fake news articles, including pages designed to look like reports published by ABC itself, to lure victims onto fictitious trading platforms“. The network is linked to call centres in Bulgaria, Ukraine, Cyprus, Macedonia, and Israel.
This is not an aberration. It is a logical extension of a state built on extraction.
6. State Crime and the Military-Industrial Complex
6.1 War Crimes and Genocide
Amnesty International has extensively documented how “Israel has committed and is continuing to commit genocide against Palestinians in Gaza“. The organization has published research documenting “war crimes and crimes against humanity“.
The International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defence minister Yoav Gallant, “alleging war crimes relating to the war against Hamas in Gaza”. The ICC’s appeals chamber has rejected Israel’s challenge to the legality of the court’s investigation into “war crimes committed in Gaza after Oct. 2023”.
Over 65,419 Palestinian people have been killed and 167,160 injured in Gaza. In the occupied West Bank, at least 991 people have been killed.
6.2 Systemic Criminality
An International Expert Statement on Israeli State Crime notes that “states have a disproportionate ability to conceal, distort and deny their criminal applications of violence”. The consensus of the scientific community is that “we are currently witnessing these risks and tendencies taking place in a particularly intensive form in Gaza, Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank”.
6.3 Israeli Voices: Internal Critique
Gideon Levy, veteran columnist for Haaretz, has written that Israel has become “a criminal organisation, Netanyahu as a mafia boss“. Levy described Israel as a state that “kills and boasts about it“.
Gadi Shamni, a retired Israeli Major-General, described Netanyahu’s cabinet as “a criminal gang with a strong desire for revenge, led by dangerous individuals“. Shamni told Channel 12 that “we are actually dealing with a criminal gang”.
When Israeli generals and journalists use the language of organized crime to describe their own state, it is not slander. It is testimony.
7. The Pattern: From 1948 to the Present
The pattern is one of continuity:
Era Criminal —-Element—- Activity
1940s Jewish-American gangsters Funding, arms smuggling, logistics for the 1948 war
1950s–present Law of Return exploiters Criminals fleeing prosecution, pedophiles, fraudsters
1970s–present Israeli organized crime Drug trafficking, human trafficking, contract killings
2000s–present State criminality War crimes, genocide, occupation violence
2020s Sapphire Network International fraud, fake news, investment scams
The pattern is consistent: extraction, predation, and the externalisation of costs.
8. Conclusion: Naming the System, Exposing the Pattern
We have documented a systematic pattern:
1. Jewish-American gangsters—Meyer Lansky, Bugsy Siegel, Abner Zwillman, Mickey Cohen—provided the funding, logistics, and arms smuggling networks that enabled the creation of Israel
2. Paramilitary groups—the Irgun, Stern Gang, and Haganah—carried out massacres and ethnic cleansing that established the state
3. The Law of Return has functioned as a safe haven for criminals fleeing prosecution—from Meyer Lansky to pedophiles to financial fraudsters
4. Israeli organized crime has become a global enterprise—the “Kosher Mafia” operating on three continents
5. The state itself has been characterised by systematic criminality—from the Nakba to the present day, from war crimes to genocide
This is not a conspiracy theory. It is documented history.
This does not mean that every Israeli is a criminal. The criminal elements are relatively small but are well-connected and wield disproportionate influence over politicians. Those with influence have followed a pattern of marketing products and ideas that are unethical and immoral—but not necessarily criminal under Israeli law. Israeli citizens themselves are often victims of crime—whether state-sanctioned violence or the violence of organized crime.
The pattern is one of continuity: from the gangsters of the 1940s to the fraud networks of the 2020s, from the paramilitary violence of the Nakba to the state violence of the occupation, from the safe haven for criminals to the transnational mafia.
We do not need to wait for the collapse. We can expose the system. We can name it. We can dismantle it.

Abstract
This paper examines the systemic failures of current heart valve prostheses—mechanical, bioprosthetic, and transcatheter—and proposes a new paradigm: open-source, patient-specific, bioresorbable heart valves. We document the clinical and economic costs of existing devices: mechanical valves that require lifelong anticoagulation with significant bleeding and thromboembolic risks; bioprosthetic valves that degenerate within 5–15 years, often requiring repeat surgery; and transcatheter valves that show concerning rates of hemodynamic deterioration. We then present the emerging technologies that make a better alternative possible: the ParaValve open-source framework for parametric design and fluid-structure interaction simulation; 3D-printed bioresorbable materials that promote tissue regeneration; and patient-specific geometry enabled by additive manufacturing. We propose a design framework that integrates these technologies to create heart valves that are durable, biocompatible, and capable of being regenerated by the patient’s own body—rendering the current extractive model of medical device manufacturing obsolete.
1. Introduction: The Failure of the Current System
Heart valve disease affects millions worldwide. In the United States alone, more than 5 million people are diagnosed with heart valve disease annually. The standard of care—valve replacement—offers no effective long-term solution. Most replacement valves are made of animal tissue and last only 10 to 15 years before they must be replaced. For pediatric patients, who grow and change, the situation is even more dire: solutions are extremely limited and can require multiple reinterventions.
The current system is extractive. Patients pay—with their health, their finances, and their lives—for devices that are rushed to market, inadequately tested, and designed for profit rather than durability. The same pattern we have documented in other medical devices—aggressive marketing, minimal oversight, externalised costs—is replicated in the heart valve industry.
This paper proposes an alternative: open-source, patient-specific, bioresorbable heart valves designed using parametric modeling, 3D printing, and tissue engineering. This is not a marginal improvement. It is a paradigm shift.
2. The Problems with Mechanical Valves
Mechanical heart valves (MHVs) are made from rigid materials such as pyrolytic carbon. They offer excellent durability but require lifelong anticoagulation due to thromboembolic risk.
2.1 The Anticoagulation Burden
For patients with a mechanical aortic valve, warfarin is the only approved drug for anticoagulation. Patients face numerous challenges inherent in its use—including multiple food and drug interactions and the need for frequent blood monitoring. Many patients, especially younger ones, opt for a biological valve instead—despite knowing it will be less durable.
2.2 The PROACT Xa Trial Failure
The PROACT Xa trial was designed to determine if apixaban—a factor Xa inhibitor—could be a suitable alternative to warfarin for patients with an On-X mechanical aortic valve. The trial was halted prematurely in September 2022 due to an excess risk of blood clots.
The results were devastating:
· 20 valve thrombosis or thromboembolism events in the apixaban group (4.2%/patient-year) compared to 6 in the warfarin group
· 14 thromboembolic strokes occurred with apixaban compared to none with warfarin
As Dr Lars Svensson, co-chair of the PROACT Xa steering committee, concluded: “We had good reason to believe that apixaban could be a suitable alternative to warfarin… Unfortunately, the data did not support this”.
2.3 The Clinical Reality
A 59-year-old woman with a mechanical valve suffered recurrent embolic strokes nearly 7 years after implantation. The PROACT Xa trial results raised questions about the concomitant use of aspirin, which did not reduce thromboembolism risk but increased major bleeding.
Mechanical valves trade durability for a lifetime of anticoagulation—and even then, the risk of stroke and bleeding remains.
3. The Problems with Bioprosthetic Valves
Bioprosthetic heart valves (BHVs) offer improved hemodynamics and lower thrombogenicity but suffer from structural degeneration and limited durability, particularly in younger patients.
3.1 The Trifecta Valve Failure
The Trifecta family of bioprosthetic aortic valves—manufactured by Abbott—has been the subject of serious warnings. In February 2023, both Abbott and the FDA warned that the Trifecta valves may begin deteriorating within the first five years of implantation, potentially requiring earlier-than-expected replacement or even leading to death.
Real-world data told a different story from clinical trials:
· Clinical trials showed peak structural valve deterioration at the eight-year mark
· Real-world complaints showed peak deterioration at the three- to four-year mark
· The majority of early deterioration cases centred on a tear of at least one leaflet
· Later failures were caused by calcification and hardening
3.2 Early Structural Valve Degeneration
A study reported 3 cases of early SVD after aortic valve replacement with the Trifecta GT, for a cumulative incidence of 3.3% at 3.5 years. The SVD occurred between 1.9 and 3.2 years after implantation, with all patients presenting with aortic insufficiency and heart failure. Intraoperative findings revealed a detached prosthetic leaflet at the stent post.
The authors postulated that the externally mounted leaflet design and mechanical abrasion from the aortic wall may have contributed to the early failure. A greater degree of prosthetic leaflet flutter was observed.
3.3 The Trifecta GT: Innovation Is Not Always Progress
As one commentary aptly titled: “Innovation is not always progress“. The newer-generation Trifecta GT was designed to improve results using novel anti-leaflet calcification technology—yet it failed. Structural valve degeneration remains a major disadvantage of bioprosthetic aortic valve replacement.
Bioprosthetic valves trade short-term comfort for long-term failure—and patients pay the price with repeat surgeries.
4. The Problems with TAVR Valves
Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) has become an established therapy for severe aortic stenosis, with valve durability demonstrated for at least five years (and up to eight years) in recent studies. However, concerns remain.
4.1 Hemodynamic Valve Deterioration
Unlike mechanical valves, bioprosthetic valves used in TAVR are susceptible to hemodynamic valve deterioration (HVD) over time, driven by structural changes such as leaflet thickening, calcification, and tearing.
The incidence of moderate or severe HVD:
· 2.2% at 1 year
· 10.8% at 5 years
· 25.6% at 10 years
Severe HVD occurred in 0.5%,2.6%, and 12.7% of patients at the respective time points. Patients with HVD had a 5-fold increased risk for requiring aortic valve reintervention within 5 years.
4.2 Early Structural Deterioration
While structural valve deterioration within 5 years is rare, it does occur. An 88-year-old man developed progressive dyspnoea and chest pain five years after TAVR, with examination revealing severe aortic regurgitation. He required surgical aortic valve replacement.
This case underscores the possibility of rapid prosthetic valve failure and highlights the ongoing importance of physical examination in detecting severe regurgitation.
4.3 Native Leaflet Calcification as a Predictor
Independent predictors of HVD included aortic valve calcium volume and residual aortic regurgitation at discharge, marking the degree of native aortic valve calcification as a novel predictor of TAVR valve degeneration. Heavily calcified native aortic valves can hinder optimal device expansion, leading to an underexpanded prosthesis that increases leaflet stress and accelerates structural deterioration.
TAVR valves offer less invasive surgery—but at the cost of uncertain long-term durability.
5. The Promise of Open-Source Design
5.1 The ParaValve Framework
ParaValve is an open-source framework for parametric design and fluid–structure interaction simulation of bioprosthetic heart valves in patient-specific aortic geometries.
· Efficient fluid–structure interaction framework for bioprosthetic valve analysis
· Enables rapid, personalised design iterations of bioprosthetic heart valves
· Open-source modelling framework for patient-specific cardiac flow simulations
By enabling a modular and expandable workflow, the framework supports iterative optimisation of valve designs to achieve improved haemodynamic performance and durability. It offers researchers and engineers a streamlined pathway toward innovative and patient-specific cardiovascular solutions.
5.2 Why Open-Source Matters
The current medical device industry is built on secrecy. Designs are proprietary. Testing data is hidden. Failures are buried. Patients are left with no way to know whether the device they are receiving has been adequately tested—or whether it is yet another failure waiting to happen.
Open-source design changes this:
· Designs are transparent and auditable
· Testing data is public and verifiable
· Failures are learned from, not hidden
· Innovation is accelerated by collaboration
· Costs are reduced by eliminating proprietary markups
6. Biomaterials for the Next Generation
6.1 Bioresorbable Polymers: A Paradigm Shift
Georgia Tech researchers have created a 3D-printed heart valve made of bioresorbable materials designed to fit an individual patient’s unique anatomy. Once implanted, the valves are absorbed by the body and replaced by new tissue that performs the function the device once served.
The material: The valve is 3D-printed using a biocompatible material called poly(glycerol dodecanedioate). It has shape memory, so it can be folded and delivered via a catheter rather than open heart surgery. Once it is implanted and reaches body temperature, the device refolds into its original shape. The material then signals to the body to make its own new tissue.
Why this matters:
· Current animal tissue valves last 10–15 years
· Bioresorbable valves could potentially last a lifetime by regenerating tissue
· For paediatric patients, the valve grows with the child
· Eliminates the need for repeated surgeries
As Professor Lakshmi Prasad Dasi stated: “We are moving away from using animal tissue devices that don’t last and aren’t sustainable, and into a new era where a heart valve can regenerate inside the patient”.
6.2 Polymeric Heart Valves
Polymeric heart valves (PHVs) offer the potential to combine the durability of mechanical valves with the favourable haemodynamics of bioprosthetic valves. Recent advances in polymer chemistry have improved mechanical performance and haemocompatibility.
Promising materials:
· Polycarbonate polyurethanes (PCU): In vitro durability proved up to 20 years; in vivo durability and haemodynamics were superior to all bioprostheses
· Polyhedral Oligomeric Silsesquioxane–Polycarbonate–Urea–Urethane (POSS-PCU): Advanced polymers offer better resistance to calcification, reduced thrombogenicity, and tunable mechanical properties
· Poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) and polycarbonate urethane (PCU) scaffolds: Demonstrate good haemodynamic property and fatigue durability
In situ heart valve tissue engineering is an emerging approach in which resorbable, off-the-shelf available scaffolds are used to induce endogenous heart valve restoration. Pliable microfibrous, bioresorbable elastomeric heart valve prostheses are being investigated as sustainable heart valve replacements that trigger tissue formation on the valves in situ.
Hybrid tissue-engineered heart valves (H-TEHVs) integrate a durable synthetic scaffold with biologic components to promote in situ remodelling while maintaining mechanical integrity. Evaluations indicate that tissue-engineered heart valves integrate with host tissues 30% better than traditional valves.
This is the future: valves that do not just replace tissue—they regenerate it.
7. Patient-Specific Geometry and 3D Printing
7.1 The Patient-Specific Imperative
Current heart valves are one-size-fits-most. Patient-specific design is now feasible through the combination of medical imaging, parametric modelling, and additive manufacturing.
Patient-specific 3D models can be derived directly from the heart’s 3D model. These models can be used by healthcare professionals to identify potential defects prior to cardiovascular operation.
7.2 3D Printing for Heart Valves
Additive manufacturing enables the creation of patient-specific geometries that were previously impossible. Studies have demonstrated the successful deployment of additively manufactured frames into 3D-printed patient-specific aortic root phantoms.
The Georgia Tech breakthrough combines 3D printing with bioresorbable materials to create a valve designed to fit an individual patient’s unique anatomy. As Sanchita Bhat, a research scientist on the project, explained: “From the start, the vision for the project was to move away from the one-size-fits-most approach that has been the status quo for heart valve design and manufacturing, and toward a patient-specific implant that can outlast current devices”.
We have documented a systematic pattern of failure in the current heart valve industry:
1. Mechanical valves — durable but require lifelong anticoagulation with significant risks
2. Bioprosthetic valves — better haemodynamics but degenerate within 5–15 years
3. TAVR valves — less invasive but show concerning rates of haemodynamic deterioration
4. The Trifecta valve — marketed as innovative, failed within years
5. The PROACT Xa trial — another failed attempt to solve the anticoagulation problem
The pattern is consistent: devices rushed to market, inadequately tested, failing catastrophically, with costs externalised to patients and healthcare systems.
But there is another way.
Open-source design, patient-specific geometry, bioresorbable materials, and tissue engineering offer the potential to render the extractors obsolete. We can build valves that:
· Do not require lifelong anticoagulation
· Do not degenerate within a decade
· Do not require repeat surgeries
· Do not rely on animal tissue
· Do not profit from human suffering
We can build valves that regenerate.
The technologies exist. The frameworks exist. The only thing missing is the will to move beyond the extractive model and embrace a paradigm of healing, regeneration, and open collaboration.
We have the blueprint. Now we must build.

Abstract
This paper examines the feasibility of using vacuum-insulated structural glass as the primary building material for residential housing. We analyse the thermal performance, structural integrity, fire resistance, insect proofing, cost, and environmental impact of such a construction method. Drawing on existing research into vacuum insulating glass (VIG), structural glass engineering, and sustainable building practices, we demonstrate that a glass house is technically feasible, environmentally beneficial, and offers significant long-term savings in energy costs. We also examine the global sand scarcity crisis affecting traditional cement-based construction and propose that a shift toward glass-based building systems offers a sustainable alternative that reduces dependence on increasingly scarce construction aggregates. We conclude that while upfront costs are higher than traditional construction, the benefits—including fire resistance, insect proofing, energy efficiency, longevity, and reduced sand dependency—make it a viable and desirable alternative for sustainable housing.
1. Introduction: The Need for Sustainable Housing
The global construction industry faces an unprecedented convergence of crises. Climate change demands drastic reductions in building-related emissions. Urbanisation drives demand for new housing stock. And the very materials on which modern construction depends—particularly sand for concrete—are becoming increasingly scarce.
The sand crisis is one of the most underreported environmental challenges of our time. The world uses approximately 50 billion tonnes of sand and gravel annually—making it the most mined resource on Earth. Yet global sand reserves are shrinking, with extraction rates increasing at approximately 6% per year, a rate the UN Environment Programme has described as unsustainable. A single family home requires approximately 200 tonnes of sand, a hospital requires 3,000 tonnes, and one kilometre of motorway requires 30,000 tonnes.
The paradox of desert sand reveals the severity of the crisis. Despite being surrounded by sand, Saudi Arabia and the UAE import construction-grade sand from Australia, China, and Belgium. Desert sand grains are too round and smooth—eroded by wind over thousands of years—to provide the angular, coarse microscopic grains essential for strong concrete. Construction-grade sand must come from riverbeds, lakes, and seabeds, environments that produce angular grains capable of effective binding.
The cement industry’s carbon footprint compounds the problem. The global cement industry is responsible for up to 8% of the world’s CO₂ emissions. Concrete itself comprises 60–80% aggregate by volume, with sand making up to 45% of that aggregate. As sand becomes scarcer and cement production remains carbon-intensive, the environmental and economic costs of traditional construction are becoming unsustainable.
Vacuum-insulated glass (VIG) offers a compelling alternative. By replacing solid walls with high-performance transparent insulation, a glass house can achieve superior thermal performance while dramatically reducing the material intensity of construction—and the associated sand consumption.
2. Vacuum Insulating Glass: Thermal Performance and Technology
2.1 The Physics of Vacuum Insulation
Vacuum insulating glass (VIG) operates on a simple but powerful principle: by evacuating the space between two glass panes, heat transfer through convection and conduction is virtually eliminated. The space between the panes—often just 0.25 mm wide—is kept at a distance using almost invisible micro-pillars. The result is an insulating glass technology with the best insulation value on the market.
2.2 Thermal Performance: U-Values
The thermal transmittance (U-value) of VIG products has reached remarkable levels:
Product/Technology U-Value (W/m²K) Thickness
Saint-Gobain INSIO® 0.3–0.5 W/m²K 10 mm
Schollglas GEWE Enthermal™ 0.3 W/m²K 8–12 mm
Typical double-chamber IGU ~1.0–1.5 W/m²K 36 mm
Typical triple glazing ~0.6–0.8 W/m²K 40–50 mm
A U-value of 0.3 W/m²K means that VIG insulates better than an average brick wall with 10 cm of insulation. This is achieved with a glass thickness of just 8–12 mm, compared to 36 mm for a common double-chamber insulating glass unit.
2.3 Additional Performance Benefits
Beyond thermal insulation, VIG offers several other advantages:
· Sound insulation: Approximately +3 dB better than conventional double-layer insulating glass
· Light transmission: Up to 10% more daylight than conventional triple glazing
· Heat gain reduction: VIG retrofit can reduce heat gain by up to 85.3%
· Energy savings: VIG retrofit achieves 12.5% to 29.7% energy savings in subtropical climates
The question of whether glass can serve as a load-bearing structural element has been answered conclusively by modern engineering. Research has demonstrated that glass shear wall elements have the potential to be used as stabilising elements and load-bearing walls in buildings of up to 4 storeys in height.
Timber-glass composite shear walls and beams have been developed taking into consideration long-term behaviour and seismic performance. These structural elements make it possible to largely increase the glass surface in buildings, allowing the presence of more natural light in homes and offices.
3.2 Existing Structural Glass Buildings
The feasibility of structural glass is demonstrated by existing projects:
· 28-metre tall self-supporting glass lift enclosures have been successfully designed and constructed
· Glass pavilions have been built using vertical glazing panels as primary structural walls
· Timber-glass composite systems have been developed for residential applications
3.3 The Vacuum Glass House Patent
The concept of a thermally insulated house constructed with double glass walls enclosing a vacuum was patented as early as 2004. The patent describes a construction where double glass walls are braced by spacers with the space evacuated, similar to Dewar containers. The design includes an overhanging roof for additional protection from solar radiation.
The technical feasibility of a vacuum-insulated glass house has been established for over two decades.
4. Fire Resistance: Fire-Rated Glass and Non-Combustible Systems
4.1 Fire-Rated Glass Ratings
Fire-rated glass is available in a range of classifications:
180 minutes Maximum rating Limited to 100 square inches
Fire-resistive glass products are tested to ASTM E-119/NFPA 251/UL263 and block smoke, flames, and radiant heat. Glass that meets the 60-minute fire rating equals the rating of the wall itself.
4.2 Fire Resistance for the Glass House
For a residential glass house, the following fire protection strategies are available:
· 60–120 minute fire-resistive glazing for exterior walls
· Non-combustible framing systems (steel, aluminium, or fire-rated timber composites)
· Fire-rated seals and gaskets at all joints and penetrations
· Automatic fire suppression systems (sprinklers) as additional protection
Fire resistance is not a barrier to glass construction—it is a solved engineering problem.
5. Insect Proofing: Sealing and Screening
5.1 The Challenge
Insect proofing a glass house requires attention to every potential entry point. Glass itself is impermeable to insects, but joints, gaps, and openings must be meticulously sealed.
5.2 Solutions
· Continuous seals: High-quality silicone or EPDM gaskets at all glass-to-frame junctions
· Insect screens: Fine-mesh screens (≤1.2 mm) on all operable openings
· Compression seals: Door and window seals that compress to form an airtight barrier
· Self-closing mechanisms: For doors to prevent accidental gaps
· Regular maintenance: Inspection and replacement of worn seals
Insect proofing a glass house is entirely feasible with proper detailing and quality materials.
6. Cost Analysis: Upfront vs. Lifetime Costs
6.1 Upfront Cost Estimates
Component Estimated Cost (AUD/m²)
VIG panels (Ug ≤0.5 W/m²K) $800–1,200
Structural framing (steel/aluminium) $300–600
Foundation (reinforced concrete) $150–300
Roof system (insulated) $200–400
Installation & engineering $400–800
Total $1,850–3,300/m²
Comparison: Standard Australian residential construction: $1,500–2,500/m²
6.2 Lifetime Cost Savings
The higher upfront cost is offset by substantial operational savings:
· Energy savings: 12.5% to 29.7% reduction in cooling energy
· Cooling energy reduction: Up to 32.4% with advanced glazing systems
· Payback period: 5.8 years for clear glass retrofit; 8.6 years for coated glass retrofit
· Operational payback: As little as 0.6 years in some climates
· Energy Return on Investment (EROI): 7.6:1 to 46.1:1 over a 30-year service life
6.3 The Sand Cost Factor
Traditional construction’s reliance on sand is becoming increasingly expensive. With global sand prices rising 43–71% in Asia (2018-2024) and extraction rates described as unsustainable, the cost advantage of traditional construction is eroding.
A glass house eliminates the need for sand-based concrete in walls, dramatically reducing exposure to sand price volatility.
VIG manufacturing has higher embodied energy and emissions than conventional insulating glass units (IGU):
Metric VIG (Base Case) IGU (Reference) Ratio
Embodied Energy 543.3 MJ/m² ~106 MJ/m² 5.1×
GHG Emissions 108.6 kg CO₂-eq/m² ~47 kg CO₂-eq/m² 2.3×
7.2 Operational Carbon Savings
The operational phase dominates total emissions (>97%) of a building’s lifecycle. This means that improvements in glazing thermal performance yield substantial long-term benefits even when embodied impacts are considered.
Key findings:
· 28.9% decrease in total lifecycle carbon emissions
· Carbon payback period of approximately 1.1 years
· Global Warming Potential payback of 4.4 years compared to argon-filled triple-glazed IGUs
7.3 Reduced Sand Dependence
Traditional concrete construction consumes 70–85% of its weight as aggregate, with sand comprising up to 45% of that aggregate. By replacing concrete walls with glass, a glass house eliminates this sand demand entirely.
Australian dune sand can be used as fine aggregate for concrete, and engineered sand production from quarry by-products is emerging as a sustainable alternative. However, the most sustainable approach is to reduce sand demand altogether through alternative building systems.
7.4 The Cement Carbon Problem
Cement production is responsible for up to 8% of global CO₂ emissions. By reducing concrete use, glass construction directly reduces cement demand and its associated carbon footprint.
8. Case Studies: Existing Glass Buildings and VIG Applications
8.1 Residential VIG Retrofit—Shoreham, Victoria
A cedar home on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula underwent a remarkable transformation:
· 52 m² of glass retrofitted
· 67 panes upgraded from 4 mm single glass to advanced Panasonic Glavenir Vacuum Glass
· Results: What was once a draughty, poorly insulated house is now a warm, quiet, and comfortable haven
8.2 Art Nouveau Villa—Brussels
An Art Nouveau villa was renovated using FINEO vacuum glazing:
· Approximately 30 windows with 86 vacuum-insulated glass units
· Renovation allowed the building to adhere to contemporary energy regulations and standards
8.3 Commercial Building Retrofit—Hong Kong
Field experiments in a commercial building in Hong Kong demonstrated:
· 85.3% reduction in heat gain
· 12.5% to 29.7% energy savings
· 9.2% improvement in thermal satisfaction
· Cooling setpoint could be reset 1°C higher
8.4 The Patented Glass House
A patent from 2004 describes a thermally insulated house construction using double glass walls enclosing a vacuum, with partial silvering and an overhanging roof for solar protection. This demonstrates that the concept has been technically viable for over two decades.
9. Design Proposal: A Single-Storey Glass House
9.1 Design- Principles

9.2 Australian Sand Context
Australia has significant sand resources suitable for construction:
· Tertiary sediments are the main source of construction sand for Adelaide
· Boral produces approximately 360,000 tonnes of fine-to-medium sand annually
· Engineered sand from quarry by-products offers a sustainable alternative
However, even with abundant Australian sand, the most sustainable approach is to reduce sand demand through alternative building systems like the glass house.
Thermal Efficiency VIG achieves U-values of 0.3–0.5 W/m²K
Energy Savings Up to 32.4% reduction in cooling energy
Fire Resistance Fire-rated glass provides 60–120 minutes of protection
Insect Proofing Feasible with sealed joints and mesh screens
Cost 30–50% higher upfront, but lower lifetime costs; payback 5.8–8.6 years
Environmental Impact 28.9% reduction in lifecycle carbon; 4.4-year GWP payback
Multi-Storey Feasible with proper structural engineering
Sand Dependency Eliminates sand demand from walls; reduces exposure to sand scarcity
10.2 Recommendations
1. Pilot Project: Construct a demonstration glass house to validate performance in Australian conditions
2. Supply Chain Development: Work with Australian glass manufacturers to establish local VIG production capability
3. Regulatory Engagement: Collaborate with building authorities to develop appropriate standards and approvals
4. Cost Reduction: Explore economies of scale and alternative sealing technologies to reduce upfront costs
5. Integrated Design: Combine VIG with renewable energy systems for net-zero operation
10.3 Final Verdict
The glass house is technically feasible, environmentally beneficial, and economically viable over its lifecycle. While upfront costs are higher than traditional construction, the benefits—including fire resistance, insect proofing, energy efficiency, longevity, and reduced sand dependency—make it a compelling alternative for sustainable housing.
The sand crisis is not a distant threat. It is here. Global sand extraction is increasing at 6% per year, prices are rising 43–71%, and the UN has declared a “sand crisis”. The glass house offers a way forward—a home that does not depend on a resource that is running out.

The New Parasites
In the Australia of 2026, a new class has emerged. They are not politicians, though they move through Parliament House with ease. They are not public servants, though they draw their salaries from the public purse. They are not businesspeople, though they sit on corporate boards and collect lucrative consulting fees.
They are the connected class—a network of insiders who have mastered the art of turning public service into private enrichment. They occupy positions created for them, funded by taxpayers, producing outputs that serve the interests of their networks rather than the public good.
This is not corruption in the traditional sense. It is institutional capture—a system where the boundaries between government, industry, and personal enrichment have been deliberately blurred.

Jillian Segal is Australia’s Special Envoy to Combat Antisemitism. She is paid $1,070 a day** by taxpayers. She has a team of six staffers. The total cost to taxpayers is **well over $1 million a year. The Prime Minister approved an additional $12.9 million in funding for her office.
The Conflicts of Interest: Her family trust is “one of the biggest funders of far-right lobby group ‘Advance'”. It gave $50,000 to Advance in 2023-24. Advance has been described by Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke as “an appalling organisation”. Segal is a “top executive of a pro-Israel lobby group”—the Executive Council of Australian Jewry. She sits on the board of the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce.
The Selection Process: Freedom of Information documents reveal that Home Affairs officials described an intention to provide the Prime Minister with “up to 6 candidates”. But every document detailing assessments or the rationale for selection was either heavily redacted or withheld in full. The Department could not locate a copy of Segal’s CV.
She is paid to combat antisemitism while her family funds a far-right group and she leads a pro-Israel lobby.
Case Study Two: The Cyber Security CRC
In September 2017, the federal government announced a $50 million investment over seven years in the Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre (CSCRC). The CEO was Rachael Falk.
She led the independent review into the Optus and Medibank cyber breaches. She was appointed by the Minister for Home Affairs to the Expert Advisory Board for Australia’s 2023-2030 Cyber Security Strategy.
In February 2025, Falk left the CSCRC to become a partner at Ashurst Risk Advisory—a return to the firm where she had worked as a lawyer in 1998.
The CSCRC was not just a research centre. It was a revolving door—a place where a connected insider could build a network, then cash in.
Case Study Three: Palantir and the NDIS
The Albanese government has “secretly embedded Palantir Technologies into the automated decision-making systems of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)”. If the NDIS Amendment Bill passes, a computer program will have the authority to cut a disabled person’s funding.
No Appeal: If the program gets it wrong, section 59E(3) provides that the decision stands anyway. There is no appeal.
The Financial Footprint: Palantir has secured $60 million** in Australian government contracts. State and federal contracts have reached nearly $80 million. The Future Fund has ballooned its stake in Palantir from $1.6 million in February 2023 to $165.3 million. The fund’s chief corporate affairs officer admitted in Senate estimates that no ethical review of Palantir’s human rights record had been conducted before the investments were made.
This is Australian taxpayers’ money—bet on a company whose CEO describes the company’s purpose as helping the West “kill enemies”.
Case Study Four: Cellebrite — From Gaza to the Streets of Sydney
Cellebrite is an Israeli digital forensics company. NSW police have used Cellebrite over 30,000 times since 2022. The Minns government is set to introduce new laws “so that the power NSW police has to require people to provide access to their digital devices” is available during “routine arrests, roadside stops and other lawful detentions”. Failure to comply carries up to 5 years prison time.
The Same Technology: The same Cellebrite technology that helps generate kill lists in Gaza is now being used to extract data from Australian citizens.
The Pattern
Element Antisemitism Envoy CSCRC Palantir Cellebrite
Public funding $1M+/year + $12.9M extra $50M over seven years $60M+ contracts Undisclosed
Connected insider Jillian Segal Rachael Falk Mike Kelly Israeli company
Conflicts of interest Family funds far-right group Moves to corporate partner Labor associates lobby for Palantir No ethical review
Minimal scrutiny FOI heavily redacted Little public oversight NDIA exempt from procurement rules No reporting requirements
The Logic
1. Create a position or contract — often in response to a crisis
2. Fill it with a connected insider — no open process required
3. Fund it generously — with taxpayer money
4. Demand minimal accountability — redact the documents, exempt from rules
5. Let the insider profit — from the connections and the platform
6. Repeat — because the system rewards it
The Cost
The cost is not just financial. It is the cost of trust. When citizens see their tax dollars going to connected insiders while public services are cut, they lose faith in the system. When they see conflicts of interest ignored and appointments made without scrutiny, they conclude that democracy is a sham.
And they are right.
The Historical Parallel
The Australia of 2026 bears a striking resemblance to the England that Charles Dickens observed in the mid-nineteenth century. Then, as now, a new class of parasites had emerged—people who extracted wealth from the productive economy without contributing to it.
The antisemitism envoy who funds a far-right group? A Pecksniff. The cyber security CEO who moves from a taxpayer-funded research centre to a corporate partnership? A Pecksniff. The politicians who appoint their friends to cushy positions while claiming to serve the public? Pecksniffs, all.
The system of “money for jam” cannot last. It consumes its own legitimacy. It erodes public trust. It creates the conditions for resistance.
What Must Be Done
1. Name the system — The “Access Class” is the logical endpoint of neoliberalism.
An illustrated pipeline shows state resources flowing toward institutional lobbying and private gain.

Dedication: To every Australian who has watched their tax dollars disappear into the pockets of the well-connected. To every citizen who has been told that this is how democracy works. And to the young people who see the game for what it is and wonder why they should bother playing—we see you, we understand, and we are building something better.
Abstract
This paper examines the systematic capture of Australian governance by a network of well-connected insiders who have turned public service into private enrichment. Through four detailed case studies—the appointment of Jillian Segal as Special Envoy to Combat Antisemitism, the operation of the Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre (CSCRC), the embedding of Palantir Technologies into the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), and the deployment of Israeli spyware Cellebrite by Australian police—we demonstrate a consistent pattern: well-funded positions and contracts created with minimal public scrutiny, filled by individuals with deep connections to industry and political networks, producing outcomes that serve private interests rather than public good. We trace the historical roots of this system to the neoliberal transformations of the late twentieth century and draw parallels to the Victorian England described by Charles Dickens and Karl Marx, where a parasitic class extracted wealth from the productive economy while cloaking itself in the language of reform. We conclude that this system of “money for jam” is not an aberration but a designed feature of neoliberal governance—one that must be exposed and dismantled.
1. Introduction: The Architecture of Extraction
As former Australian Public Service Commissioner Lynelle Briggs found, cronyism in public appointments is “real, entrenched, and corrosive to public trust”. She found that between 6 and 7 per cent of all board appointments could be described as “political”.
2. Theoretical Framework: The Neoliberal Roots of Cronyism
2.1 From Market Reform to Market Capture
Neoliberalism, as a political project, was supposed to be about freeing markets from government interference. But as critics have long noted, the reality has been very different. The deregulation and privatisation of the neoliberal era did not create free markets—they created captured markets, where the well-connected used their access to government to enrich themselves.
Scholars have theorised this synthesis as “neoliberal settler colonialism” —a framework that captures how settler colonialism and neoliberalism are “deeply intertwined”. Understanding neoliberalism, as one analysis notes, “requires a trip in time back to Charles Dickens’s Britain”. The same stresses—industrialisation, population growth, urban crowding, and poverty—that shaped Victorian England have their echoes in the neoliberal present.
2.2 The “Jobs for Mates” Culture
In 2023, former Public Service Commissioner Lynelle Briggs was commissioned to review public sector board appointments. Her report, No Favourites, was delivered in August 2023 but shelved for over two years before being released. Briggs confirmed that cronyism is “real, entrenched, and corrosive to public trust“.
The government’s response to the Briggs Review reveals the depth of the problem. The framework it introduced is “not legislated“, “highly flexible“, contains “broadexemptions”, and “permits the prime minister to exempt any appointment at his” discretion. This is not reform—it is a fig leaf.
2.3 The Revolving Door
The revolving door between government and industry is well-documented. A 2025 ABC investigation found that “at least eight federal ministers, senior ministerial advisers and at least one state premier have taken up roles promoting gambling“. Nearly 40% of third-party lobbyists previously held political roles.
Despite a theoretical 18-month cooling-off period, “former federal ministers can start lobbying straight out of office with impunity”. Crossbench MPs have called for a mandatory cooling-off period of at least three years.
This is not a bug. This is the design.
3. Case Study One: The Antisemitism Envoy — $1 Million a Year for a Connected Insider
3.1 The Appointment
In July 2024, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced the appointment of Jillian Segal as Australia’s Special Envoy to Combat Antisemitism. The appointment was made with extraordinary speed. Freedom of Information documents reveal that Home Affairs officials described an intention to provide the Prime Minister with “up to 6 candidates” reflecting “the demography of Australia“. But every document detailing assessments or the rationale for selection was either heavily redacted or withheld in full. The Department could not locate a copy of Segal’s CV—despite government records stating that her “Curriculum Vitae, Private Interest Declaration and Appointments Details pro-forma are at Attachment D”.
The selection process was a black box.
3.2 The Cost
Segal is paid a daily rate of $1,070 by taxpayers. She has a team of six staffers—four of them full-time. The total cost to taxpayers is well over $1 million a year. The Prime Minister approved an additional $12.9 million in funding for the two envoy roles—a significant increase from the original $4 million budget.
3.3 The Conflicts of Interest
Segal’s conflicts of interest are extensive. Her family trust is “one of the biggest funders of far-right lobby group ‘Advance‘”. Australian Electoral Commission records show that a trust called Henroth—named for the father of Segal’s husband John Roth—gave $50,000 to Advance in 2023-24. Advance has been described by Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke as “an appalling organisation“. Segal has been called upon to resign.
Segal is a “top executive of a pro-Israel lobby group“. She sits on the board of the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce. Her report into antisemitism was criticised as punitive, ineffective, and a threat to free speech.
She is paid to combat antisemitism while her family funds a far-right group and she leads a pro-Israel lobby.
4. Case Study Two: The Cyber Security CRC — $50 Million for a Revolving Door
4.1 The Funding
In September 2017, the federal government announced a $50 million investment over seven years in the Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre (CSCRC). The CRC leveraged a further $89 million from 25 industry, research and government partners.
4.2 The Revolving Door
The CSCRC’s CEO was Rachael Falk. She led “a high-level collaboration between government, industry and research institutions“. Falk was appointed by the Minister for Home Affairs to the Expert Advisory Board for Australia’s 2023-2030 Cyber Security Strategy. She also led the independent review into the Optus and Medibank cyber breaches.
In February 2025, Falk left the CSCRC to become a partner at Ashurst Risk Advisory—a return to the firm where she had worked as a lawyer in 1998. Ashurst Risk Advisory has posted revenue growth of close to 50% globally year on year.
The CSCRC was not just a research centre. It was a revolving door—a place where a connected insider could build a network, then cash in.
4.3 The Output
The CSCRC produced reports and guidance. But did it prevent major cyber breaches? No. Its CEO was appointed after the Optus and Medibank breaches to review them—not to prevent them.
The CSCRC is part of the same pattern: public money, private connections, minimal accountability.
5. Case Study Three: Palantir and the NDIS — Surveillance as a Service
5.1 The Secret Insertion
The Albanese government has “secretly embedded Palantir Technologies into the automated decision-making systems of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)”. If the NDIS Amendment Bill passes, a computer program will have the authority to cut a disabled person’s funding.
5.2 No Appeal
If the program gets it wrong, section 59E(3) provides that the decision stands anyway. There is no appeal. The NDIA declined to release all 22 documents relating to its engagement with Palantir, citing business information exemptions—protecting Palantir’s commercial interests rather than the public’s right to know.
5.3 The Financial Footprint
Palantir has secured $60 million in Australian government contracts. State and federal contracts have reached nearly $80 million. The Department of Defence bypassed the open market to award Palantir a $7.6 million contract. AUSTRAC awarded Palantir $8.1 million in 2023, and has awarded more than $28 million in total. Australia’s sovereign wealth fund, the Future Fund, has ballooned its stake in Palantir from $1.6 million in February 2023 to $165.3 million.
6. Case Study Four: Cellebrite and the Police — From Gaza to the Streets of Sydney
6.1 The Technology
Cellebrite is an Israeli digital forensics company. Its Universal Forensic Extraction Device (UFED) can “bypass device security, crack passcodes, and extract mobile phone data, including texts, location history, and deleted items”. NSW police have already used Cellebrite over 30,000 times since 2022 despite telling a parliamentary inquiry they had never used it for surveillance.
6.2 The Proposed Expansion
The Minns government is set to introduce new laws “so that the power NSW police has to require people to provide access to their digital devices” is available during “routine arrests, roadside stops and other lawful detentions”. Failure to comply carries up to 5 years prison time. The measure “overrides the common law right against self-incrimination”.
6.3 The Scale of Surveillance
NSW Greens MLC Sue Higginson explained that Cellebrite allows police to access “any message they have ever sent, any photo they have ever taken, their location at any moment, everything they have ever searched and biometric data about who they are“. There are “no reporting requirements for Cellebrite use and no known deletion rules after cases end”.
6.4 The Australian Connection
Services Australia has developed a capability “in collaboration with the Israeli spyware company Cellebrite” to support compliance investigations. It has been used by “the Australian federal police, Victoria police, Asic, the ATO, the Department of Defence and Home Affairs”.
The same technology that helps generate kill lists in Gaza is now being used to extract data from Australian citizens.
7. The Revolving Door: A System of Capture
The pattern we have documented is not a series of isolated incidents. It is a system.
Element -Antisemitism Envoy- CSCRC- Palantir- Cellebrite
Public funding $1M+/year + $12.9M extra $50M over seven years $60M+ contracts Undisclosed
Connected insider Jillian Segal Rachael Falk Mike Kelly (Labor Friends of Israel) Israeli company
Conflicts of interest Family funds far-right group; leads pro-Israel lobby Moves to corporate partner Labor associates lobby for Palantir No ethical review
Minimal scrutiny FOI heavily redacted Little public oversight NDIA exempt from procurement rules No reporting requirements
The logic is simple:
1. Create a position or contract — often in response to a crisis
2. Fill it with a connected insider — no open process required
3. Fund it generously — with taxpayer money
4. Demand minimal accountability — redact the documents, exempt from rules
5. Let the insider profit — from the connections and the platform
6. Repeat — because the system rewards it
8. The Historical Parallel: Dickens and Marx’s Victorian England
The Australia of 2026 bears a striking resemblance to the England that Charles Dickens and Karl Marx observed in the mid-nineteenth century. Then, as now, a new class of parasites had emerged—people who extracted wealth from the productive economy without contributing to it.
8.1 The Age of Extraction
Dickens’s novels are filled with such characters: the Pecksniffs who cloak their self-interest in moral language, the Podsnaps who refuse to see the suffering around them, the Uriah Heeps who use false humility to advance themselves. Marx recognised the power of Dickens’s critique, declaring that “in his books were proclaimed more truths than in all the speeches of the politicians and moralists of his time combined”.
8.2 The Pecksniffs of Today
The antisemitism envoy who funds a far-right group? A Pecksniff. The cyber security CEO who moves from a taxpayer-funded research centre to a corporate partnership? A Pecksniff. The politicians who appoint their friends to cushy positions while claiming to serve the public? Pecksniffs, all.
As one analysis notes, understanding neoliberalism “requires a trip in time back to Charles Dickens’s Britain”. The parallels are not accidental—they are structural. Both periods are characterised by:
· Extreme inequality — wealth concentrated in the hands of a few
· Capture of institutions — the state serving private interests
· Hypocrisy — the language of reform masking the reality of extraction
· A parasitic class — people who enrich themselves without producing anything
8.3 Marx’s Prediction
Marx and Engels watched the stresses and strife of Victorian England and “drew certain conclusions about how all of this would pan out”. They predicted that capitalism would produce its own gravediggers—that the system would create the conditions for its own overthrow.
The same is true today. The system of “money for jam” cannot last. It consumes its own legitimacy. It erodes public trust. It creates the conditions for resistance.
9. The Access Class: Naming the System
The “Access Class” is the logical endpoint of neoliberalism. When you dismantle public institutions, you create a vacuum. When you privatise public services, you create a market. When you deregulate appointments, you create a system of patronage.
The Access Class fills that vacuum.
They are not the cause of the system. They are the symptom. They are the ones who have learned to navigate the ruins of the public sphere, to profit from the collapse of the commons.
They are the fitters and turners of a world that has stopped making things and started extracting everything.
19th Century 21st Century
Fitters and turners shaped metal The Access Class shapes policy
They built machines They build networks
They made things They make connections
They were the backbone of industry They are the backbone of extraction
10. Conclusion: Exposing and Dismantling the System
We have documented a systematic pattern:
1. Well-funded positions and contracts created with minimal public scrutiny
2. Connected insiders appointed without open processes
3. Conflicts of interest ignored or dismissed
4. Minimal accountability — FOI redacted, procurement rules bypassed
5. Private enrichment at public expense
6. Erosion of trust in democratic institutions
This is not corruption in the traditional sense. It is institutional capture—a system where the boundaries between government, industry, and personal enrichment have been deliberately blurred.
The parallels to Victorian England are striking. Then, as now, a parasitic class extracted wealth from the productive economy while cloaking itself in the language of reform. Then, as now, the system created the conditions for its own overthrow.
We do not need to wait for that overthrow. We can expose the system. We can name it. We can dismantle it.

Abstract
This paper examines the structural integration of neoliberalism into the settler colonial project, demonstrating that this combination creates a predatory system that extracts value from land, labour, and bodies—and ultimately consumes its own creators. Drawing on the theoretical framework of “neoliberal settler colonialism” and “accumulation by dispossession,” we analyse the Israeli case as a paradigmatic example: a settler colonial state that has undergone a profound neoliberal transformation since the 1980s, privatising its security sector, dismantling its welfare state, and exporting its extractive technologies globally. We demonstrate that the same logic that targets Palestinians now targets disabled Australians, and that the system’s internal contradictions—military expenditure crowding out social welfare, moral injury among soldiers, and the commodification of violence—inevitably lead to collapse. We conclude that predatory systems cannot sustain themselves, and that the path forward lies in building alternatives rooted in solidarity, not extraction.
1. Introduction: The Architecture of Predation
The colonial settler project has always been about land—taking it, holding it, expelling those who stood in the way. But when you add neoliberalism—the ideology of privatisation, deregulation, and wealth transfer to the few—you create something new: a predatory extraction machine.
Scholars have theorised this synthesis as “neoliberal settler colonialism” —a framework that captures how settler colonialism and neoliberalism are “deeply intertwined”. As Lloyd and Wolfe observed, “settler colonialism’s inventory of local strategies is becoming increasingly congenial to neoliberalism’s emergent world order”. This is not a coincidence but a structural convergence—two systems that reinforce each other’s extractive logic.
Settler colonialism is not a stage that has been left behind. As the introduction to Settler Colonial Studies argues, “the ongoing history of settler colonialism forms a crucial terrain through which to understand military occupation and the formations and practices of the neoliberal state that has emerged to regulate and promote a new regime of accumulation”. The neoliberal regime of accumulation must be understood “in terms of its continuing debt to such histories“.
2.2 The Intertwining of Neoliberalism and Settler Colonialism
Scholars have identified “countless examples” indicating that “neoliberalism and settler colonialism are deeply intertwined”. The core components of hegemony in Israel are “the twinned imperatives of neoliberal capitalism and expansionary settler colonialism“. This is not a superficial overlap but a structural integration.
2.3 Accumulation by Dispossession
David Harvey’s concept of “accumulation by dispossession” —capital going on the offence, reneging on agreements with trade unions, and privatising assets to “optimise conditions for capital accumulation no matter what the consequences for employment or social well-being“—is central to understanding this system. In the Israeli context, this plays out through the “active accrual of land and resources” that entrenches “indigenous dispossession”.
3. The Israeli Case: A Paradigm of Neoliberal Settler Colonialism
3.1 The Neoliberal Transformation
Israel’s neoliberal transformation began in earnest in 1985 with the Program for the Stabilisation of the Economy. Since the 1990s, the Israeli “political scene has increasingly come to resemble the American” as neoliberalism prompted “wholesale deregulation and privatisation“. The destruction of the labour federation, the privatisation of the welfare state, and the creation of a dependent settler and ultra-Orthodox coalition have locked in electoral support for the occupation.
The poverty figures are stark: In 2016, “around one-fifth of all Israeli households were under the poverty line”—13.2 percent of Jewish Israeli versus 49.2 percent of Palestinian Israeli households. The welfare budget is “relatively low” because it must compete with “the grossly inflated military budget helping to sustain ongoing colonial war”.
3.2 The Privatisation of Security
Between 1994 and 2014, Israel’s security service was transformed, “becoming one of the most extreme examples of privatised security in the world“. This created “Occupation Inc.” —”the institution of a private military-security-industrial complex“. As Shir Hever documents, “Israeli security elites turn violence into a commodity in order to preserve their status and wealth“. The attempt of Israel’s security elites to “capitalise on their experience” means they “become more globalized and increasingly produce security in exchange for money, as mercenaries, instead of as ideological citizen-soldiers”.
3.3 The Neoliberal Colonisation of East Jerusalem
Bruno Huberman’s work on “neoliberal settler colonialism” in East Jerusalem demonstrates how “the combination of settler colonialism and neoliberalism allows for the ‘primitive accumulation of capital’ to also occur permanently through deceptive soft forms”. The Israeli government has implemented policies for the development of East Jerusalem that use “neoliberal development as the ‘carrot’ for pacifying the Palestinians”. This creates “a new settler colonial and neoliberal sociability that co-opts the exploited and oppressed“.
3.4 The Destructive Internal Logic
Scholars have identified the core destructive logic: “one of the chief factors accounting for the levels of poverty experienced by a substantial proportion of the population is the sheer scale of expenditure on the military budget”. The military budget, required to sustain ongoing colonial war, crowds out social welfare—creating a cycle of poverty that fuels further militarisation.
4. How the System Consumes Its Own
4.1 The Military-Industrial Complex
Soldiers are sent to fight wars that serve corporate interests. They return broken—PTSD, suicide, moral injury. The state offers therapy, not justice. The cycle continues because the profits outweigh the human cost.
The evidence: Scholars have identified “moral injury” as a distinct form of trauma—”the damage to a person’s conscience resulting from actions that injure or kill innocent people.” The statistics are devastating: 78% of all suicide cases in Israel in 2024 were combat soldiers. PTSD prevalence jumped from 16% in August 2023 to 30% by November 2023.
4.2 The Medical-Industrial Complex
Medical devices are tested on soldiers and prisoners. When they fail, patients pay the price. The state protects the companies, not the patients. The system treats bodies as resources, not lives.
The evidence: We have documented the failure of home ventilators (Medtechnica—470 faulty devices), cochlear implants (Advanced Bionics—14.7 million shekel lawsuit), spinal implants (Premia Spine—TOPS System removed and replaced with fusion rods), infusion pumps (Eitan Medical—FDA Class I recall), and IVF mix-ups (Assuta Hospital—multiple scandals, $9.2 million lawsuit).
4.3 The Surveillance-Industrial Complex
Citizens are monitored, data is extracted. The state sells the technology to other states. The profits flow to corporations, not to the people. The system treats privacy as obsolete, not as a right.
The evidence: Palantir’s Maven Smart System—the same system that attacked a school in Iran—has been deployed in Gaza, Lebanon, and operations linked to Iran. Cellebrite sells phone-hacking technology to law enforcement globally, with use “likely violating international human rights law” (Citizen Lab).
4.4 The Social Safety Net
Welfare is dismantled in the name of “efficiency.” The vulnerable are sacrificed to protect the investment. The poor are blamed for their poverty. The system treats solidarity as weakness, not as strength.
The evidence: The neoliberalisation of the Israeli welfare state has been a central element of the transition to a neoliberal model that began in 1985. The 2011 social protest in Israel was a “reaction to the neoliberalization of the welfare system“.
5. The Export Pipeline: From Occupation to Global Market
The pattern is consistent: technologies developed in the occupation are tested on captive populations, then marketed globally as “battle-tested” products.
Stage Description Evidence
1. Develop in the occupation Test on Palestinians, Lebanese, Syrians AI targeting in Gaza, Unit 8200 blackmail
2. Market as “battle-tested” Use military credentials to sell globally Elbit thermal imaging, “lab for human testing”
3. Export aggressively Minimal oversight, maximum profit Clinical trials in Australia, Sheba partnerships
4. Hide the failures Lawsuits, recalls, silence Maven’s Minab incident, failed medical devices
5. Repeat Because profits outweigh consequences Palantir in NDIS, Cellebrite in Services Australia
The same logic that targets Palestinians now targets disabled Australians.
6. The Australian Connection: Importing the Predatory Model
Australia is importing this model:
· Palantir in the NDIS: The government has secretly embedded Palantir into the NDIS automated decision system. If the NDIS Amendment Bill passes, a computer program will have authority to cut a disabled person’s funding—with no right of appeal.
· Cellebrite in Services Australia: Services Australia has developed a capability, in collaboration with the Israeli spyware company Cellebrite, to support compliance investigations.
· Sheba partnerships: NSW and Victoria have formal partnerships with Sheba Medical Centre—a hospital that trains IDF medical teams and partners with Elbit Systems.
· Medical trials: Israeli companies (RedHill, Syqe, Enlivex, Alpha Tau, Teva) are
conducting clinical trials in Australia, using vulnerable populations as subjects.
The same logic is being applied: extract value from the vulnerable, externalise the costs to the public, privatise the profits to corporations, and silence dissent through surveillance.
7. Why Predatory Systems Collapse
Predatory systems always collapse:
1. They consume their own population — soldiers return broken; the poor are sacrificed
2. They destroy the trust that holds society together — social solidarity is replaced by surveillance
3. They hollow out institutions until nothing remains — welfare is dismantled; health is commodified
4. They create inequality that becomes unsustainable — poverty and wealth disparity grow
5. They generate resistance that eventually overcomes them — protest movements emerge
Israel is not immune to this dynamic. The same system that targets Palestinians now targets disabled Australians. The same logic that extracts organs from bodies extracts data from phones. The same ideology that justifies occupation justifies surveillance.
Australia is not immune to the collapse that follows.
8. Conclusion: Naming the System, Building the Alternative
We have documented a systematic pattern:
1. Neoliberalism and settler colonialism are structurally intertwined — they reinforce each other’s extractive logic
2. Israel is a paradigmatic case — a settler colonial state that has undergone profound neoliberal transformation
3. The system consumes its own — military expenditure crowds out welfare; soldiers suffer moral injury and suicide
4. The export pipeline is global — technologies developed in the occupation are marketed as “battle-tested”
5. Australia is importing the model — Palantir in the NDIS, Cellebrite in Services Australia, Sheba partnerships
6. Predatory systems collapse — they create the conditions for their own destruction
This is not a conspiracy. This is a system.
Neoliberalism is not an ideology—it is a method of extraction. When combined with colonialism, it becomes a machine that consumes everything in its path, including its own creators.
The State of Israel is a warning. It shows what happens when extraction becomes the only logic, when profit becomes the only value, when the vulnerable become the only resource.
But it is also an example of what happens next: the system cannot sustain itself. It will collapse under its own weight. And when it does, those who built it will be the first to fall.
